Antonio Brown

Pats had a chance to kill this thread. Dorsett had a chance to kill this thread. Pats O laid an egg. Dorsett went 2 passes from 12 targets. We desperately need him
He wasn't helped by Brady being about as accurate as Tim Tebow today.

The story suddenly died after he was cut. They just wanted him off the team. Resign this reprobate!!! The man can play!! Plus, Dorsett is garbage

no doubt AB is extremely talented, I mean after being with the team just for a week he was putting up great numbers, the problem is his off field drama, the guy just can’t keep his cool, he needs to delete social media and just play ball during the season and then go back to it during offseason.

now Antonio is suing the nfl...
His chances from coming back is very slim.

So where's the who comes off of IR thread ... 2 out of 3 ain't bad.
Harry's odds just went up ..........
I’m guessing that the list will grow by the time the decision needs to be made, but yes, Harry should be a prime candidate.

Hopefully, they can get the WRs on the same page first, so that they’re not needing to rely on a rookie returning from IR.

I thought it was the right decision when it was announced. If Kraft forced BB to make that decision, then I'm against it, and Brown should still be with the team. If BB made the decision for team harmony, to avoid a distraction and so on, I'm good with it.

What is the longest thread on Patsfans ?

AB was a ticking time bomb and if it wasn't the texts it would've been something else down the line.

The guy has left a toxic trail in his wake everywhere he's been, both in the locker room and off the field. He has shown zero ability to self-regulate, either because of maturity issues and/or some more serious psychological issue.

Great player? Of course. Would his talent in a vacuum be nice to have on the field? Absolutely. Would his presence and all the baggage he brings ever be sustainable? Absolutely not. Never.

History indicates that AB blowing up one way or another, be it off the field or in the locker room, was inevitable.

Best to rip the bandaid off early in the season so the team has time to figure out their identity by the time the games count the most.

I think some of our fans would have preferred the Steeler model of handling AB, which is to enable him to act differently than the rest of team and have his own rules, in order to keep the talent on the field.

Random thought: I wonder who, what, when will be the last post on this thread...when will everyone finally be completely exhausted of subject? Could this be the last one??? I predict it won’t “disappear” until 2020.

Brady seemed to think AB would have settled down and he wanted to help AB.

don't cut the guy until he acted up on the sidelines or in the locker room. Cutting the best WR in football because of how some interpreted a private text message was beyond stupid by Kraft. He was afraid of the media, partly because of his own stupid behavior in the off season.

There was no interpretation.

On Monday, 09/16, the NFL instructed Brown to have no further contact with the two women in question.

On Wednesday, 09/18, Brown texted one of those two women.

You can argue such an action shouldn't have been enough to warrant his release, but his transgression is black-and-white, and is entirely his own doing. He has no one to blame but himself.

Does everyone need to be reminded yet again that post-release Brown said "system working effectively" in response to Klemko receiving death threats?

Thread has gone wormhole .

Why the hell are there over 500 replies on this thread?

Agree with that. But it’s been reported multiple times now that all of BB, Brady and many Pats players were super happy with AB in team. Kraft took a business decision (sponsor threats) and pulled rank.

No. Telling someone you are going to investigate them is telling them you are going to investigate them.
There is nothing threatening about investigation.

Hey Andy -- taking this over to the appropriate thread in lieu of the post-game thread. I didn't want to pile on the off-topic posts over there.

"There is nothing threatening about an investigation" -- I think (at times) that's a disagreeable statement but for the purposes of argument, okay, there's nothing threatening about an investigation, fine.

There is, however, something threatening about threatening an investigation.

In case it's not already extremely clear: there is not, and never will be an investigation by Brown's posse because they are not LEOs; they're his unprofessional, unqualified friends. The only purpose that text served was to convey the threat of an investigation that was never going to happen.

One's subjective interpretation of a threat as not being threatening to them (likely in a physical sense) does not mean the act in question is not a threat.

If a guy texted my totally hypothetical daughter, telling her that his friends were going to uncover dirt on her, and those friends were not LEOs, and in fact had a criminal record, you can be sure that I'm going to take that as a threat.
