He's the GM. He's gotta have the organization's best interest in mind at all times.

He failed here imo.
No one gives a sh*t about the opinion of a troll. Doesn’t your own team have enough problems to keep you busy?

Already done.

KC cut Kareen Hunt and suspended Hill. The Pats need to suspend Brown this morning.
Yes, sending a text with photos that had already been posted on social media - you know, the media people post stuff on because they want other people to see it - is very comparable to punching a woman, or breaking a child's arm and threatening his mother. Exactly the same.

Bill believes winning is in the best interest of the organization.

If a player interferes with that objective (performance, culture, distraction, financial) they will be traded or released.

There may be a point in which Bill believes ABs behavior interferes with winning.

We are not there- yet.

Might be in a couple hours.

What’s with this stupid binary “well if she didn’t fear for her life it’s nothing” crap?

One doesn’t have to “fear for one’s life” or believe one is in danger to feel intimidated and uncomfortable and want it to stop.

Give me a break. There was nothing intimidating in those texts. She got the attention now so deal with it!

He’s an a hole but a lot of those guys play in the nfl. Pats need to put a gag order on him . If he does anything stupid again he’s gone.
You don't think the Patriots already told him to keep quiet? They obviously did. I'm sure he didn't think the whole thing through (that his private text messages would get leaked). He should have expected it though. The SI writers and this woman are clearly adversarial and have no reason to protect Brown's privacy.

@maust1013

I overreacted. It was late and I only read the headline not the article.:D

Headlines have been suspect since they were invented. Sadly we've reached the point where supposed 'articles' are such thinly veiled op/ed or outright hit pieces that the once proud Fourth Estate is often less trustworthy than whoever they purport to be exposing. In your defense Brown has shown narcissistic sociopathic tendencies to the point where it's become difficult to give him the benefit of a doubt. As Nixon taught us even paranoids do have enemies. However anyone chooses to look at it everyone needs to recognize there is an agenda at work against Brown. He's earned a measure of it and he is his own worst enemy in terms of feeding that fire, he has brought it on himself. Sometimes bad things happen to bad people. Make no mistake, Brown is not a 'good' person by society's measure but that doesn't automatically make him Manson.

Reasonable minds can decry it but only a fool would fail to acknowledge we as a whole have become a knee jerk society having it's lowest traits fed by a cynical click driven media.

Nothing this intriguing.

Yeah I mean Brown himself may not have intimated violence, but that's easy for us to say from 20,000 feet. I'm pretty sure I'd be freaking out quite a bit if Antonio Brown told some unknown friend of his named "Eric B" to "look into" me, and including her on the text message chain seems purposefully designed to elicit fear.

Absolutely. And he threw in pictures of her kids for heaven's sake.

So you are going to suspend someone from there job because they send a perfectly legal text to a person who forwarded it to a reporter who posted it public ally on social media because it would be nice for the guy who did nothing wrong (legally if not morally) with the text should keep a low profile because there are other unsubstantiated accusations against him?
Why country is this?

He's not the sharpest tool in the shed here but he's feeling attacked rightfully so and he's protecting himself in his mind because nobody is doing it for him.
He needs a better support system.
He's clearly stressed out and rightfully so.
There is no threat here being made just someone who went about things the wrong way and honestly his attorney should be to blame for not explicitly going over every do and don't with Antonio.

I agree with most of that but I can't believe his attorney, agent and employer didn't put up all kinds of stop signs that he blew right through. You can save someone from most anything but themselves.

I've done a bit of reading on his attorney's background and he seems like a real loser.

Anyone who has to carry Antonio Brown's water is a loser, but it seems even he has his limits.

Absolutely. And he threw in pictures of her kids for heaven's sake.

Yeah though that was more to demean her than anything. "This lady is poor, look at these kids who look poor" is what he was saying, however odd that is. That said, it wouldn't make me happy.

The woman has all this attention. Did she think she was not gonna get it by publishing her story on SI? The guy came back at her. Was it stupid? Yes. Was it threatening? No!

Perhaps Belichick will take an intermediate step like suspend him for a game. And then see if he behaves after taking that hit.
