It’s Rap, so..may need another source but Steelers done already two games in.

At least they can see what they have in Mason Rudolph really liked him coming out. I think Ben might retire after all this.

His career is done at this point

That means 2 QB’s better than Tom Brady* are out for the season, possibly for his career.

*according to Chris Simms

Shame to see anyone lose their season, regardless of whether I like them or not (understatement).

From a Patriots perspective, this all but puts the nail in one coffin: Our "strength of schedule" is going to look even lower now, and people will forget that we beat the Steelers at full strength. All they'll see is we beat a poor team by season's end.

Whether it be through injuries or decline in play, age 36-39 is when it’s likely over for most QBs.

Age 37 Roethlisberger - IR
Age 37 Rivers - arm strength going
Age 38 Manning - been done for years
Age 40 Brees - playing well, uncommon injury

& then there is one

That was a strange injury. Threw the ball and instantly his arm went limp. Wasn't even hit. Probably the last time we have seen him play.

Drew Brees out for up to six weeks as well. One has to marvel at the toughness and durability of TB12

Now that Ben is IRed the Steelers just need to ship out a few more knuckleheads and they will have the chance for the first time in a long while to be a likable team.

I guess having that third chin puts extra strain on your elbow.

So unless the Browns step up, the Ravens look like they're winning the ACFN.

To be fair injuries like the one Brees had are freak accidents that can happen to anyone and none of the training Brady does or all the avocados and magic concussion water in the world can prevent it.

With others I totally agree that Brady has done a lot to preemptively reduce risks.

I would think this helps those with James Washington in fantasy. Familiarity with Rudolph since College.

If that happens I wonder if people will complain endless about their weak division.

It's odd to say but depending on what happens tonight the Ravens have a good chance to nearly lock up their division (statistically speaking) in week 2.

I still have serious doubts about the Ravens though.

Kinda like a pitcher throwing out his arm????

Sad to see. He was a gamer. Didn't care for the guy much, but have to respect his career.

.

Mason Rudolph is a gamer I liked him coming out the draft and Gilmore was asked that year who was his favorite QB and he mentioned he liked Rudolph's arm and upside.

I guarantee you Mike Tomlin is doing cartwheels right now...

Very odd injury. You see these sort of things in baseball, such as pitchers having excessive stress on the arm. To see it in a QB in only week 2 seems strange if it was an issue of an overworked elbow that was vulnerable. Maybe just plain bad luck.

The question now: is Ben Hall of Fame worthy? Probably.
