Sportsbook bettor puts $3.4K down on Dolphins to go 0-16

I'd say that is a 50-50 bet now so looks good to me. If the Patriots spank them it could be the end. But they do play the Jets.

They'll win a few

Honestly it's a better bet than the pats 16-0 imo. I think you get better odds and a pay out.

The pats only pay out 2500/100 for 16-0 which is insane.

I'd want to see a few weeks of 0-16 level ineptitude before making that bet. For all we know, the Dolphins figure something out against a team or two.

6-1 to win the Super Bowl as well

From what you describe + the link:

Pats are 25-1 (16 and 0)
Fins are 30-1 (0 and 16)

Wait, what? You’re saying a 30:1 bet should be a 1:1 bet? You should be betting on it then.

“If the Patriots spank them it could be the end.”

Why? It’s week 2, and they’d still have 14 games left. And Vegas fully expects the Patriots to spark them despite just 30:1 odds of them going winless.

If players tried to bail after the Ravens beating, a similar or worse (if possible) beating from a team they often beat in Miami, may be psychologically devastating.

I could see it.

A dangerous bet when 4 of those games are against the bills and jets.

It's interesting for sure. Pretty good pay out, I'd say the math makes it a pretty good wager if we beat 'em today.

It would be great if it was Flores, or Fitzpatrick who made the wager.

It's hard to put up a donut. Week 17 is often meaningless to both teams. Dolphins in Foxboro this year helps the bettor, but still hard.

Hue Jackson really did something rare going two full seasons at 1-31.

If there was any justice, the Doofins should've already gone 0-16, in 2007.
For that, I blame Brian Billick.

Won't happen. They play the Jets twice.

If I had $3.4 million dollars the last thing I would do it bet it on a football game.. but would go to every Pats away game.

Rather have a nice house on the water with a private dock for my 35 foot boat, or travel around the world on Net Jets or whatever they called these days.. ..
If you are talking about this particular bet, it's Thousands not millions.

The odds will fall each week though

He’s only betting $3400 but yeah. Really, if you want to make a crazy bet would be better to parlay the two. Then you’re talking a two and a half million payout, which becomes sort of interesting.
