Before we get the pitchforks out, let's treat Brown as I would if he played for the Pats or Steelers or anyone. There is a presumption of innocence until facts prove otherwise. If Tawana Brawley, Duke Lacrosse or Covington Catholic ( and Kavanaugh )proved anything, it is that mob rule before the facts can railroad innocent people and ruin their lives....
Certain things are troublesome, such as going back for the third time after he gratified himself on her back. Why would she do that? who knows but people often do things that defy logic. My wife is an attorney representing victims of domestic violence and often the victim will go back to their abuser or refuse to testify despite horrific injuries...
I'd like to know if she pursued a criminal charge and did prosecutors decline or did alleged victim go straight to lawsuit. If they were in a consensual relationship, that certainly complicates it. Was there anyone told about these actions contemporaneously by either Brown or the woman??? The fact that Brown backed out of a $1.6 million deal complicates things. I'm reserving judgment until more facts are known. If it turns out that he is innocent, suspending him causes irreparable damage as he cant get those games back. If he is guilty and it can be proven, missing games will be the least of his worries...
