His logic for 84 is that 8x4=32 and there were 32 teams that passed on him(including the steelers) I kid you not.
Well, he wasn't a first-rounder, so they technically did pass on him.

We kind of get you don't like this move, since you have been complaining about it since it happened. Why don't you calm down a bit and enjoy it for a while.
I like the move but youve got to be cautious. Before we signed him, most of the people on the forum were making fun of him

Agreed.

Other than the 2019 bonus, the patriots are risking nothing. We know that the contract and guarantees can be voided, if Brown acts in a manner unbecoming of an NFL player.

Rosenhaus has stated that he's made it clear to Brown that the Patriots don't put up with this sort of stuff.

He was acting crazy, however, if he was acting crazy to force Oakland to release him it worked. Sounds like he didn't want to be there, wanted to leave, and wants to play on a winning team. Regardless of how toxic the environment was in Pittsburg, they are a winning organization. It must be a pretty big shock to go to a place like Oakland that completely sucks arse. Can't really blame him for wanting to leave, and I am not sure how else he could have gotten out of there.

Obi has been waived.

imagine Belichick sitting down during a team meeting going over film like usual and ripping apart AB with his words. I cant see that going well unless AB decides to change

week 5 Watson in LaCosse out
week 9 Harry in Thomas out

In other words, you have a good amount of confidence that he's rational, whereas many of us have a hard time getting to that level of confidence.

Personally, I think he's irrational, but I also think it's about 50/50 odds that he will be able to keep it together for one season, and it's worth the risk to find out.
I really think AB has manipulated his way out of 2 organizations with a series of intentionally calculated acts that made him look irrational. I say this but realize I could be very wrong.

I do know one thing for sure, BB will not put up with any distractions from the team so if AB isn’t 100% invested and behaved, he’ll be cut and the offense will be ok.

We’ll see what the injury / suspension / cut status looks like at the time those decisions are needed. Lots of things can change between now and then.

But yeah, the WR position on September 9 compared to the situation on April 9 looks just slightly better.............

Obi has PS eligibility and with his injury status I don't think they'll have trouble sneaking him there.

You really don't have any idea what he is like and are simply making guesses. Perhaps it will be a bad scene, perhaps it wont, based upon what I read about him in Pittsburg, he was a good guy until things fell apart with him and Big Ben.

If he is an issue, he is gone, constantly worrying about it doesn't help.

Regarding #84, I think it’s a league rule that you’re unable to change your number during the season.

But....technically Watson hasn’t even started his season yet since he’s suspended. So I guess he could still change it?

This is really the first test on if AB is a true team player. Does he make a stink of this if he doesn’t get his way?

I wonder what the stipulation is and when the payout is of the remaining $5m in bonus.

Yep.

He needs to find another number.

The NFL’s rule book states that: “For competitive reasons, no player may change his uniform number once the regular season begins. . . . Special exceptions to this rule may be considered by the NFL Football Operations department depending on the circumstances (e.g., player traded to another team).”

NFL doesn’t allow players to switch numbers during season

Lots of folks in the media don't think this arrangement will last long...including Teddy Bruschi and Randy Moss.
