Marcus Cannon Injury Watch

I wonder if NE really reported him as questionable to return or of if someone screwed up. Shoulder injury and bleeding doesn’t seem to equate to “questionable to return”.

It used to, back when I was a kid.

I would shelve him until November if he needs a few months to recover. The Pat's don't play anyone too difficult until the Ravens game.

People can disagree all they want with this take, but this is a 6 week injury to be fully healed from. You don't need to rush Cannon back, and the schedule us quite favorable until early November.

This is the understatement of the young season. Our first half is by far the weakest in the NFL.

Just a guess but I wonder if constantly picking at the end of the round has BB taking more risks in hopes of finding players passed over for various reasons example Gronk.

That’s exactly what he does. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

Oh...what happened to him? What about Cajuste? Why do our draft picks seemingly always have injuries in their first year?
I don’t think they officially said, but it looked like bad injury to the arm in the 4th game of the preseason.

Cajuste had offseason surgery, which I’m sure the Patriots knew about and factored in when they drafted him. He’s on PUP NFI - he can play as early as week 7 if the Patriots deem him ready.

i'm missing Trent Brown about right now - he was a stud

Trent Brown played really well down the stretch and in the playoffs, but he was inconsistent during much of the year last year. If Wynn plays like he did last night going forward. No one will miss Trent Brown. We need a RT right now, not a LT.

A shoulder dislocation can cover a lot of things. Some times the shoulder dislocates and pops back almost immediately. Ligaments are stretch. The shoulder is sore, but once the inflammation goes down, he should be OK - back for the Jets game or Buffalo game at the latest.

If when they saw him in the sling the shoulder dislocated and was popped back in the tent the damage is worst, but still only a time situation so maybe 3 games.

I don't want to think about it if if its worse. Then I guess it would be Thuney at RT and Eluemenore at LG. Though if its long term, I thought Elumeneor had some experience at RT at one point.

Ken's "Ice up, son!" post.
May it be so!!!

I feel like no one in the Pats media is talking about this.

Seems you didn't watch Wynn last night.
I did and I just posted about Wynn but this guy would probably have fit anywhere on this line and do a good job, especially with Cannon's injury now

In the worst case scenario, I have Scar pulling someone off the Foxborough High School squad and turning them into a serviceable RT.

Gorin out of retirement !

I really don’t think this guy has many years left with all these injuries. Hope he’s good to go. Great player when he’s healthy. Hell of career for a guy who survived cancer.
