Lots Of Decisions To Make This Week

Lacosse is an interesting possibility. It would leave the Patriots with just one TE, which would likely end up being covered by some combination of Develin and a 6th OL.

At least until Watson returns . . . No matter what, I can't see the Pats running much 12 or 22 personnel packages, so I don't see his value.

More likely is to trade DT for a pick, and to use a pick for an OL. The 2 transactions need not both be with the same team.

Many were already expecting a trade for an OL.
Thomas was briefly available after cut downs and no one signed him. You can argue there was a wink wink deal but you could say the same about Hoyer. That should depress the trade market for him.

you guys have your binkies

Believe it or not, we don't need 7 WR's plus Slater. Gunner has a function on the team. Meyers does not.
I disagree. Meyers has a function : as soon as Gordon & Brown are gone; he is the guy lining up w 11 & 13.

and we could argue if 13 is here next season.

where is the difference?
One guy Brady could throw to blindfolded and is a cornerstone in the offense. The other has never caught a single pass and was not needed in a 30 point blowout win.

We could. I hope he will be, but I’m open to the possibility he won’t. I want Dorsett & Meyers to stick because I lack faith in Brown & Gordon (obv NOT their talent).

so? Randy Moss never caught a pass from Brady either before 2007. Brown can have 100 yards per game just by showing up. The one thing I would agree on if some people think Brown can't be counted on off the field. On the field however Brown will be a beast from day 1.

Bill wasn't too happy with the bobbled snaps. Karros will be in the dog house if it keeps up. I'd consider moving a 1st for Trent Williams if Washington pays most of his salary.

Brown is as likely to be gone by the end of the year as he is to have 1400 yards receiving.

Nice problems to have for the most part.

Moss was here for training camp and OTAs

hmm

Edelman, Thomas and Dorsett works for me (with a possible Harry)

Personally, I'd extend Dorsett and have Edelman, Dorsett and Harry as a start for 2020.
Also, at year's end, we might end up extending Gordon or Brown or Thomas.

Gunner and Myers may make the Practice Squad or not.

And yes, we can kick the ball a bit by cutting Obi again.

it will be a very interesting day thats for sure. I'm expecting either Kendricks will be out, or maybe LaCosse will go to IR. But yeah anything is possible.

Why would Kendricks be out ? The Pats will have a roster exemption for him for this week.

You were probably saying to cut Malcom Butler when Browner returned from suspension in 2014.

You keep saying this but ignoring the fact that Dorsett, Gordon, DT and Brown are all on one year deals.

Meyers' function is that he seems to have WR3 / low WR2 potential at a very cheap price and could be an ideal bridge player when the WR room will experience yet another overhaul after this season.

2020
Edelman - SIGNED
Harry - SIGNED
Dorsett - WE SHOULD EXTEND
and yes extend ONE of the others at year end

You seem to believe that Myers is different than the some many other UDFA's we've had. Belichick can find more next year if need be.

Meyers has impressed more as a rookie than any Patriots WR I can remember.
