I think the important thing is, they were teased for awhile before justice prevailed today, and everyone went home sad.I'm sorry Dan but this thread has been rude and crude just like the jest and thier fans right from the start. No namby pamby cereberal throwing of shad at the rodent with a convoluted idea about updating their name. Its the jete Suck thread. BTW, if that is how they acquired their name, they're bigger losers than i tthought.
Just think: all those morons spent thousands of dollars on PSLs just to watch da Jills beat da Jete.
Pats: 1-0 after beating what some think of as the 3rd best team in the AFC 33-3Jets choke to the Bills and your defending Champs blow out the Steelers
The despicable Jete should be investigated for lying on the injury report. Just as Dam Darnit suffered a phantom "foot injury" as a rookie because he was in over his head, it's no mistake that Quinine -- ANOTHER NUMBER THREE PIICK IN HIS ENTIRE DRAFT CLASS -- was benched for busting. After all, he registered just ONE tackle and a $22k roughing fine in three preseason games while mysteriously sitting out the fourth. But maybe his sorry showing/benching can be explained by another hay fever attack, accompanied by his compulsion to bless and thank himself after sneezing, vs. a "sore ankle."1. Despite their massive amount of money to spend this offseason and total overpaying of various players, they did their absolute favorite thing, a staple of the franchise for decades: letting their own walk. In this case, they had a placekicker, Jason Myers, who was 36/39 on field goals and made the pro bowl last season. They could have franchised him or re-signed him considering the absurdly deep pockets they have, but in classic Jet form, were to busy going for the flashy big names in free agency while the Seahawks signed Myers to a four-year contract.
Of course, their new kicker Kaare Vedvick missed an extra point and field goal attempt today, which cost them the game. But the Jets had all the warning signs that this guy is a basket case. The Ravens were able to get a fifth round pick for him (already having Tucker) from the Vikings. But Vedbick went 1/4 in the postseason, clearly showing he can't handle the pressure of being an NFL kicker. The Jets once again throw away the sure thing, a proven commodity, for a flashy name with hype and a ton of baggage.
2. Quite a bar set for the Jete class of 2019. I guess after the Polite fiasco, this is worthy of praise. What a performance.

(Headline is "Quinnen Williams Jets Debut Wasn't All Bad")
Jets first-round pick Quinnen Williams had a quiet debut Sunday and left with an injury.
Williams, the No. 3 overall pick out of Alabama did not register a stat, then sustained an ankle injury that knocked him out of the game in the fourth quarter of the Jets’ 17-16 loss to the Bills on Sunday.
Yes, Fireman Ed is quite proud of keeping his pubic hair well coiffed.
So why did you disagree with me? LolPats: 1-0 after beating what some think of as the 3rd best team in the AFC 33-3
Jete: 0-1 after blowing a 16-0 lead in the fourth quarter to one of the worst teams in the AFC
All is right in the world.
I can't believe the Sam Darnold I saw today was the exact same lackluster bust that I saw last year and not the transformed, most valuable young player in the NFL that the Jete boards have been pumping up for months.
Jest fans are naturally sad and pathetic. So they just went home.I think the important thing is, they were teased for awhile before justice prevailed today, and everyone went home sad.
So it essentially took ONE game - or ONE quarter - for the all the bravado to die off. What was yesterday a sure-fire Hall of Fame QB and genius coach, is today a dead carcass being picked at by buzzards.
I didn't get the love Darnold got the end of last year. Before his injury last year, he was wildly inconsistent. He had a couple of good games, but mostly mediocre to bad ones. After he came back, he had one great game and one good game along with one clunker and another so-so game. But the media and fans made his post injury return like he was emerging into a top QB in the league.
Darnold looks to be a typical USC QB. He has a higher ceiling than Sanchez, but that ain't saying much. I am not convinced he will be the Jets' QB three years from now though.
