Stocking up our depth at oline

Really don't see the upgrade.

Both guys would be PS eligible if cut, but they would have to go unsigned in the cut-day flood. Both seem to need some time in Scar school.

Excellent. We were missing an international OL after Seabass retired.

At least, these two dudes have actually started a NFL game or two....which is more than we had in our back ups....

Man, I miss Waddle and Fleming...

yes I love BB! Using those draft picks to good use in trying to find something, anything just to make sure we'll be ok with the backups during the season.

Yeah but those guys weren’t functional overnight.

They heard I put Ferentz on my 53.

They were both decent 6th OL on running plays in their earliest Pats games if I recall correctly.

These have to be conditional picks.
Maybe. Or maybe they’re just throwaway late round picks used during the last week of preseason and one stays/the other doesn’t. It’s not like Belichick won’t make one simple trade during the draft to replenish a 6th or 7th round pick. Didn’t we have a bunch of late round picks for 2020? Like, 4 sixth rounders or something?

I’m not reading much into this aside from bringing in some competition for Croston, and possible practice squaders. The only difference is that Bill wasn’t afraid to use a late rounder on a guy that they may have considered last year, as opposed to being forced to pick off of the scrap heap of cuts. I wouldn’t be shocked to see one stay, but I’d be surprised to see both make it.

When I say functional I really mean acceptable to the demanding critics. I was ok with Fleming from the get go, Waddle not so much.

I don't mind that he hasn't been able to stay on the field or that he has had conditioning issues likely connected to that.

As a depth OL piece the Pats can afford to give him time to get healthy and back in shape. I like the pick up.

So

Wynn
Thuney
Karras
Mason
Cannon

Cunningham
Froholdt
Eluemunor

at this point?

It seems strange to trade for two O-lineman and neither has any experience at center.
