The problem with this take, is it's entirely dependent on the league allowing it to be used. If he comes back, and gets immediately suspended for four games, it doesn't really do much for anyone (unless he's trying to martyr for the cause).

If the NFL loosens it's stance on Marijuana and CBD, then I could see him coming back as a testimonial, kind of like how Brady is using his longevity to market his TB12 method.

A player has to fail four drug tests for marijuana before they’re suspended. Obviously, he’d prefer to avoid the fines for failed tests #2 and #3. Failure #1 is basically a freebie now.

I thought they test for THC not CBD. Is there even a test for CBD? These extracts do not have any THC. My dog takes CBD. I take CBD. It's not a big deal.

They need an advocate for CBD and he's the right person for it. He should try and recruit Andrew Luck as well.

Don't knock this stuff until you try it. I use Hemp Balm (no THC) daily on my knee and am very satisfied with the results. I use to take Advil or Aleve daily and haven't since I started on GBD in early June. I can't smoke Pot because of my job, but I can drink like a fish.....

I actually find this VERY cool. He's getting involved in an industry that is already a multi-BILLION dollar business, but in many ways just starting to get rolling.

While I have never used CBD products because luckily none of my medical issues involve pain, and back in the 60's I couldn't smoke, so weed was out. Now that its in a more palatable form, I'm just not interested. HOWEVER I have friends that use it for pain. I have known people who have used it successfully during chemo. I think it is a MUCH better option than opiods.

This is SOOOOOOO much better than having him be a clown wrestling for the WWE. It is better than seeing him act (badly if the first one was any indication) in B movies. Doing this he will make good money, and work for something that actually is doing good.

And as an aside, IF the league eventually accepts CBD products as a legitimate pain therapy, then possibility of a return in 2020 grows larger. But any talk about this year is ludicrous.
