People have been talking about his potential as an amazing NFL qb since he was in college. I think we can finally say he just wasn't that good. Suck for luck...sucked.

Here's last year's stat line for the "just wasn't that good" QB, fwiw. (And Brady's below it for comparison.) Luck didn't live up to the preposterous hype of draft day, but he was plenty good.

The Colts Super Bowl odds went from 12/1 to 50/1 within a minute of Luck news breaking, they went from 5th/6th favorite to the 4th best team in their own division.

I actually kind of sympathize with the fans. This was their best looking team in ages, and suddenly the season got yanked out from under their feet before it even began.

Now I'm trying to imagine all of us here if our 28-year-old starting quarterback suddenly retired a week before the start of the season. I don't think it would be pretty.
