Part of me wants to point and laugh at the Colts, the human in me appreciates Luck has a lot of life to live and to ensure quality of life, should do what's best for both himself and his family.

This has to be a joke. Are you serious? What the hell? What???
Your thread title is unbelievable. Is this how we drop atomic bombs? So understated?

Holy crap. Didn't see that coming.

Maybe he's more injured than they let on.

Wow. I feel bad for him, he always had a ton of potential and is a really good QB but he’s just had a really hard time staying on the field.

Wow, now that surprised me. Poor Colts......not really.:D

I am absolutely shocked.

Karma has kicked the Colts so hard in the balls, over and over again. I love it.

Makes sense for him, though. His body is falling apart, he hasn't been anything close to healthy in.... 3 years? 4? Plus he's been surpassed by a whole generation of younger, better QBs that came in behind him. He retired just young enough to be remembered as a what-if, and not as a Matthew Stafford

I was shocked at first but then remembered he's always hurt every year guess he had enough, probably better that way in the long run.

Definitely echoing your sentiments here. No ill will towards Luck at all, has always seemed like a pretty decent guy who could’ve been really good but had awful injury luck (no pun intended). Much of that blame has to be placed on the Colts themselves for their disastrous offensive line.

However, I will absolutely be pointing at laughing at the organization itself for an eternity.

They'll be looking for a backup QB - Hoyer would be a very good option for them. His trade value maybe just went up a couple of notches. (But I personally believe they should keep Hoyer for another year).

Put the rivalry aside. I thought he was going to be the next Peyton Manning but injuries mounted up. Nothing but respect for the guy, he was never the same after that shoulder injury.
