The post I responded to there wasn't yours, Deb. Go have one last drink and then call it a night.

Please dont mess up my Gost=GOAT thread.

Ghost seems to choke a lot. I don't think belichick has full confidence in him
Remember the giants sb going for it on 4th and 13 instead of a 52 yard kick?

Nice guy but i hope they cut him.

And accuracy statistics are flawed if the team rately has you kick longer than a 40 yarder.

There's a lot of fail in that post but just based on the fact his dead cap hit exceeds his current year cap hit the idea of cutting him is...

There is a lot of fail in kenyb's life...so its all consistent.

Well, he doesn't have indoor plumbing so he comes here instead.

So the fact the Patriots tried to claim Punter Townsend let me make sense of this.
Patriots knew they were going with Bailey but wanted another punter for another leg.
We're going to pick up Townsend with the sole purpose to cut him after the 4th preseason.
That makes way more sense than they were going to keep him over Bailey

Lol, I thought you were done....
By the way, in response to my comments, which amount to, “Gost makes me nervous. His kicks don’t look too good,” (and in which opinions I did not ask or demand anyone else join), you have called me emotional, irrational, insane and the piece de resistance, “batshit crazy.” That is the essence of the high horse my dear Deus. I await your response as I know you cannot stand not to have the last word...

Come to think of it, I think Ghost agrees with us so-called feely imaginers. After every near miss,(most of his kicks) he grimaces and shakes his head. We are not seeing things. Case closed.

In Bill we......... wait..... WTF!!

.......writes the poster who argued in favor of BB’s benching of Butler for Whomever the Hell put out there across from Gilmore in SB 52 while Foles put up 41 against our secondary.

Seriously, THIS one gets your “WTF”????? :p

.

...I would say SG is probably the 2nd most accurate XP kicker in the league easily, given that 15 of his games last year were outside VS at max 8 were for at least 2 of the other guys...
He's missed some indoors too.

Ghost says he wants to still handle KO's and wonder if it will take a lot for that of BB to talk him out of it. But Adam V in Indy, his kickoffs were short as he began to age. While Ghost remember did not add T.B.'s due to BB coaching him not to do that. Keep in mind. But IMHO he and Jake B need to alternate kickoffs. Just my two cents worth.
I had no problems with his kick-offs last season. His age isn't showing in that facet of his game.

However, it has been postulated that because Bill is telling him to shorten his distance on them, Gostkowski's mechanics were tweaked in such a way as to negatively impact his FG/XP mechanics as well, the result of which has been his less-than-perfect record during the last couple of playoff runs. Therefore, if by assigning Bailey to KOs results in even better FG/XP % for Gostkowski - especially in the POs - then I'll all in.

I've got news that seems to have eluded far too many around here. It explains why kickers, not just Gost, are missing more extra points now. Here goes:

A few years back, they changed the PAT rules, and made it a longer kick.

I hope that puts your minds at ease.

Hmmmm,

Ghost played 1 game in a dome last year.

Gost attempted 50 XP last year. The kickers with higher % XP ahead of him:

Lutz - plays in a dome. attempted 53 and is only one tenth of a % better.
Carlson - played at least half of his season in a dome. only 24 attempts last year.
Prater - Plays in a dome. 30 attempts last year
McManus - no dome. 35 attempts last year.

Pretty clear that Ghost was the best XP kicker in the League last year.

He's a choker. Didn't know they re-signed him. If and and when he chokes away a game, i'll be here to mock you.

...If Gost starts kicking FGAs where the footballs sprout dresses and sing gay cabaret songs while in the air, I'm going to be fine with that as long as those FGAs still go through the uprights as often as they should. There are no style points in NFL kicking.

But if there were style points, dresses and cabaret songs would certainly add them, true? How would Justin Tucker top that?

Dude. Name a player you actually like.

Is there one? I’m not sure I’ve ever seen you be positive about anything or anyone.

One wonders how the overall fandom perception (not the reality) of Ghost might be impacted if he’d been given a shot at the 38 in the first Giants SB. No downside for missing a 55 yarder... huge upside for making it.

Has that ever been discussed here?

:D

So you're not a Pats fan?

I thought Ryan Allen would have been snatched up by now. Hopefully he does not end up like Mesko football wise. Mesko is actually very successful with his tech company.
