Are we forgetting he could do things like this with that athleticism? In fact the NFL had to BAN this play because guys like Collins were too good at it, also for safety reasons.
Look Chung came back and was better the 2nd time around.
If Collins is willing to swallow his pride and 'do his job' he could end up an excellent pickup for the Pats.
Low risk/high upside signing. I like it.
Well, he's back. I just hope it's as a situational player rather than a front line guy.
I may be wrong but I think the freelancing was to make splash plays to get a big contract. Through 2016 (the year he was traded) he had made around $4M. The last two years the Browns paid him, combined, $27M.I predicted Collins would be the {Pats 2nd round draft pick. I looked forward to his career as a Patriot. I was disappointed. He free lanced more and more as time went on and gave up big gains that should have been easy stops over and over. He was distant with the fanbase and made it obvious he didn't want to be here or listen to the coaches. I hope this is just a look-see. If he has the same attitude , **** him.
Yea he tore his MCL.According to Browns fans he suffered an injury in 2017 and wasn't the same since.
making a lot of tackles isn't always good.
Mayo was outstanding here.Mayo was a very good LBer on an average to poor defense
don't forget Chandler Jones^^I remember how much this forum lost their minds when we traded him. Kinda funny.
Lol I like RobertsIf this means goodbye Elandon Roberts, then I’m all for it. Heck, I’ll be the happiest person on this board!!!
Sure but Jamie's issue wasn't positional misuse. He was looking to get paid and tried to be Superman every snap.
Now that he has $30m in the bank, he either will be headstrong and think his way is still best (if so, he'll be cut)and try to get his dollars up or decide to accept his role and be part of a champion.
Yeah, I am of the same mind. He probably felt the need to stand out and make money plays.
Selfish yeah, but to my mind it is understandable. He guessed right and made big bucks.
