According to ESPN.com, Cleveland is resting C.C. Sabathia tonight and trying to setup their lineup for the ALCS. This could potential blowup in their faces.

No, its the right move. Pitching Wang on three days rest will most likely blow up in some one's face. If the Yanks win, they have to face a rested Sabathia. Then, if the Yankees somehow win, they are without Clemons for the rest of the AL championship games. Not that he has been sensational, but you figure the guy who replaces him is not as good.

I'd actually agree with that move as well. Let CC have the ball at home if it comes down to that.

Torre is past his prime and has lost a step anyway so no big deal

Starting someone on 3 days rest is only a good idea if the pitcher is an extreme groundballer (ie. Wang, Webb, Lowe). Since Sabathia is not a groundball pitcher, starting him on 3 days rest would likely lead to poor results.

Hes certainly been a bust for them overall, but hes pitched very well in his two starts against Boston this season. This is very good news for Boston if they manage to advance.

Well, it wasn't a good idea for Wang tonight since he got jacked in the 2 inning 2 down, with the basses loaded and no outs.

Well goodbye Joe ... a class guy who should not be abused anymore.

Cashman should get the heave-ho ... but Torre will.

Steinbrenner's dictionary doesn't have the word 'dignity' in it. If anyone's earned a graceful exit. Its Torre.

Last week's Sports Illustrated said that Joe Torre should be the AL manager of the year, and now it looks like he will get fired. This is another good reason in a very long list as to why folks hate the Yankees, they just burn the soul out of classy guys like Torre.
