Round 7 targets?

Where did you see that he ran a 4.5? His Pro-Day 40 was supposedly a 4.77 according to the RAS tool and a 4.71 according to one article. And he didn't run the Shuttle or 3 Cone because he pulled his hamstring with about 6 yards left on his 40.. Not to mention only a 32" vertical.

Ivy Champion Quartet Competes At Annual Football Pro Day - Princeton University Athletics

In a brief summary below, Tony Pauline mentions that he's run a 4.5 before as well as some other comments. There's another comment from Pauline that calls him the small school sleeper of the draft.

Jesper Horsted - Princeton Tigers - NFL Draft

Later round, developmental players interest me all along the DL <--> OLB continuum. I'll roughly sort these by DT, DE/DT, EDGE, OLB, and by my preference/rank. Names are hyperlinked to Draftscout profiles for testing results and further information.

DT

Chris Slayton -- good size/athleticism, generates push on rush, can stunt; Adam Butler 2.0?

Armon Watts -- finally coming into his own; reminds me of an underdeveloped Ty Warren

Jeremiah Clarke -- ideal H/W/S; stacks blockers against run; untapped upside; needs urgency

Fredrick Jones -- big-bodied clogger in the middle; powerful hands; short-area burst

Bryan Mone -- 366 pounds; poor laterally; commands double team vs run; zero pass rush

DE/DT

Byron Cowart -- former top recruit; stout, explosive, versatile; Jarvis Green/Michael Bennett?

Kyle Phillips -- another top recruit; 4.68 speed @ 270+; power player; lacks refinement

EDGE

Porter Gustin -- top 50 talent if healthy; big, agile, explosive pass rusher; can play LB

Gerri Green -- LB background; excellent speed; needs technique; Hightower understudy?

Jesse Anienbonam -- size/speed sleeper; injury red flags; Patriots private workout

Shareef Miller -- play speed ≠ test speed; some upside; frame + production = camp invite?

Darryl Johnson -- length; active but inconsistent hands; effort; lacks awareness

Jarrel Owens -- explosive traits; mediocre production; likely UDFA with upside

OLB

Quinton Bell -- WR convert; college EDGE, pro LB; exceptional athlete; KVN with speed?

Joey Alfieri -- Caserio work out; very fast but smaller; effort pass rusher; ILB convert?

My general rules are...

Anyone who test really well but is raw.
Any trouble makers who fell due to red flags.
Any players with talent but transitioning positions.
Small school prospects who dominated bad competition.
Guys people avoided because they didn't fit the right build.

He was predicted to run a 4.5. Horsted said he'd run a 4.5. But he disappointed with the 4.71/4.77
Hey all I know is what I read. Pauline is as good as any of the Draft experts, so I'll go by what he's written and move on.

Good job, I love unknowns, at least not known to me.

Anyone who tests really well but is raw or from a small school. Krossion from western Carolina fit that bill last year.

I think we should take a flyer on Fitzgerald the qb from miss state and convert him to wide receiver. After two years, we could have hogan part 2.

Thanks! It's not an exhaustive list (for example, I left off Jamal Davis, one of my favorites, because I think he'll go sooner than the 7th), and it's mostly bigger schools but lesser known players. I may do another pass later with smaller school prospects.

I'll probably make a similar post for the other positions over the next week, if I have time. That's been the real let down this year -- a lack of time to truly dig into every player past the top 400 - 500 or so. I guarantee that Belichick will surprise me a few times.

Old Dominon DE Tim Ward, Ariz WR Shawn Poindexter, Ok St WR Tyron Johnson, Virginia CB Tim Harris, Wisconsin FB/RB Alec Ingold, and possibly Clemson DT Albert Huggins are my favorites.

OK, so my first response to @manxman2601 was a bit harsh.

I think this is closer to my actual reaction:

Oh come on. I was proud of that one.

Lance Zierlein really rates Armon Watts compaired to where the draft games have him.

Markus Jones olb from Angelo state. 17 sacks and 36 tackles for loss. If he can play special teams while getting coached up, he might end up being a trey flowers “lite” kind of guy at 6’2” and 256 pounds.

Does Tony Pollard return punts or is it just kickoffs? I do think punt and kick returns is a sneaky need which is why I’ve focused on Hardman. I’m wondering if Pollard is a late round alternative.

I was watching Noah Fant and noticed how good a blocker Iowa slot WR Nick Easley was on screens to Fant. I knew Easley tested well at his combine so did a athletic comp with Edelman. Edelman is in brackets

Ht, Wt - 5’11, 203 (5-10, 195)
Forty - 4.54 (4.52)
10 yd - 1.46 (1.52)
BJ - 10’ (10’3”)
VJ - 36” (36.5”)
3C - 6.55 (6.62)
Ss - 3.87 (3.92)

One of the defining thing about Edelman’s game is his toughness. Easley seems to exhibit similar toughness. I’m all in on Easley as the next potential Edelman.

LG/LT Tyler Jones of NC State. Took over LT from Joe Thuney and started Every Game there from 2016-18. Shorter than ideal, but superior arm length to Isaiah Wynn and did fairly well at the combine except for the 40 which he didn't run.

The center from Georgia, galliard could interest bb. Kirby is probably kicking in a good word for him.

Really like the whole OL. They had fun playing w each other & it showed. Mice mix of toughness & mobility.

Welcome to the Easley hive. Been a big fan & surprised most aren't on him but people get stuck on the same "names".

Easley is so smooth. At the line & in route. Always looking for an opening whether its space or realizing he has a mismatch. Seems like a really smart, tough player.

Agreed. PTP to borrow a phrase,

Agreed. PTP to borrow a phrase,
I watched a ton of Iowa games the past 2 years bc I really liked what I saw from Stanley coming into the year. He didn't progress at all but it was clear those around him were held back or limited w what they could do.

Easley would recognize a zone design, run a dig so a LB would be on him as opposed to a DB w no look from the QB.

Tons of plays like that or he'd just beat his man w no shot of getting the ball.

Killed the 10, shuttle & 3 which love & ran a sub 4.55 I believe? He'd be an excellent fit here.

One reason I want to wait at WR & a possible trade up for a TE. I'd be down w a small trade for Fant/Hock but its a position ruled by guys like Kittle, Ertz, Kelce, McDonald, Walker etc excluding Gronk who was a 2nd but top 10-20 on a lot of boards.
