Favorite Day 2 Receivers?

He is going 2nd round for sure

I am not so sure about that, he appears to be more of a "looks good in shorts" type of player. Soft and less than the sum of his parts.

I like him at the top of the 3rd because even with those deficiencies he could at least draw coverage and make plays on the outside.

Samuel is my favorite day two receiver.
My favorite day 3 receiver is Hardman.

Who could resist the term "Ultra Sleeper"?

From cbs sports, includes a pretty good summary of the WR class.

Ultra Sleeper
35. Ashton Dulin, Malone

I'll throw Dulin here for now, the Division II superstar invited to the combine after scorching opponents down the field and in jump-ball situations. At this point, as you can probably imagine, his film is not easy to come by, but if he's as fast in Indy as he looks on limited footage I've watched ... look out. We could be talking about him as a Round 3 or Round 4 pick. He flew by everyone at Malone and displayed smooth athleticism to beat press and gain leverage down the field. Natural hands too.

Jennings is my choice right now for a mid - late round second WR. I don't care about the press coverage thing -- how often does Edelman get pressed, realistically? We move him around a ton so he can run to soft spots. WVU intentionally modeled a ton of their offense on the Patriots philosophy and plays, including sending guys in motion and using tight formations exactly so that other teams couldn't press and so that they could still manufacture touches on underneath throws against cloud coverages.

Also, when I have time to post some gifs in my thread, I'll show Jennings fighting off press (more in 2017 than 2018), so I know he can do it. He's a bigger slot guy (6'1, 215), not a 5'8 180 player, so I don't really have any concerns there.

He split on agility drills (80th percentile for the SS, but 15th for 3-cone), but I didn't see any real stiffness or issues with changes of direction on the field. Jennings has every skill I want to see in a receiver in this offense. Big fan.

Easton Stick is an interesting WR conversion candidate. I mean, it's a longshot, but it's something to think about.

Harmon from nc state or Harry from Arizona are guys that might be worth looking at in round two.

Both guys have styles that make you wonder if they can get separation in the pros. But given all our troubles drafting wide receivers, the thing I like about them is they might be very successful running option routes.

I wrote in another thread that I am strongly considering WRs Deebo Samuel, AJ Brown, Parris Campbell & possibly Hakeem Butler at 32 if as expected the TEs & DEs I would really prefer there are all taken. Others who would make for worthy selections later at 56/64/73 include NKeal Harry, Riley Ridley, JJ Arcega & possibly Kelvin Harmon...still holding out hope that I can wait until 97/101 for Terry McLaurin, same as I did in my most recent FanSpeak mock...though that appears less and less likely now.

Yeah, I’m worried about Mclaurin’s stock rising too high. Loved him in the 3rd.

He has a ton of value as a special teams demon. But only in the 4th - 7th round range.

I think he is slater part 2. Not a terribly competent receiver, but adds value as a special teamer.

He’s nailed the pre-draft process as well as anyone. That usually means a stock bump.

I'd love me some Deebo, but I don't think he will last until #56. BB has never taken a WR in the 1st rd. BB could trade up and get Samuel if they really like him, but I doubt they will do that.

It’s tough to know what they’ll be looking for at WR this year. Bearing in mind the supposed interest they’ve shown in big name WRs in FA this year, this might be the year BB goes all in on a top name draft WR. I could see a speedster (Campbell, McLaurin, Isabella), a big mismatch receiver (Butler), a possession type(Deebo, Ridley, Brown) all being routes BB could go down. And a first pick WR would not surprise me at all after the Michel last year.

Is it me, or is this one of the deepest WR classes there’s been? Moreso because there’s such a variety of types. Need a yac guy. Need a tall Guy? No problem. Need a speedster? No problem. Need a slot? No problem. I’m going to be very disappointed if we don’t double dip this year (assuming there’s no trade/FA move).

Actually Belichick could trade down from #32 and take Samuel in the first half of the 2nd, then move up from # 56 and possibly take Smith in the 40’s.
