Jordy Nelson is free....

As always, it will be about the price tag. It's hard to know which WR's are going to "get it" in this system, so if you overspend on a Nelson and he doesn't fit in, you're taking a big risk. If he's priced as another body in a WR competition, there's certainly worse options out there.

As for the Decker comparisons, I disagree. Nelson was a WAY better receiver during his prime than Decker was during his, so a similar dropoff would still leave you with a better player than we got in Decker last year.

A more apt comparison may be Reggie Wayne, who was a great receiver in his own right, but was done (maybe more mentally than physically) with football. Hard to predict that before they're in camp, but 700+ yards with a strong finish to the year doesn't sound like a player who's necessarily on the outs. Plus it was in a dumpster fire of an Oakland team with a QB the head coach might hate. I doubt anything was easy there.

Sign him. We have no eligible WR that can beat one on one coverage on the outside

BB loves the more obscure type WR's with paltry stats...a guy like Jory Nelson is just too known not BB's cup of tea.

What? haven't heard about the Dorsett Fifth year Breakout??

At this point why not another gray beard in Nelson.
I like the idea of offering up a generous tender to Higgins or trading for Ross or AJ Green with a pay decrease to win the bowl.
However the best option above all these is Chris Fricking Conley

Book is not yet finished on Berrios
I feel the Pats shouldnt mess around don't be cute and wait for Isabella to fall in a value spot take him early second.
Unless their is a pro bowler d lineman or A franchise QB.
However Isabella looks like he has a higher ceiling than Humphries so make him a Patriot.

I think Nelson has a year or two left. He can play slot to give JE a few snpas off.....and he can get open.

I'd be on board for Conley. Good size, great speed, great blocker (seeBB)

Cleveland WR Rishard Higgins: The compensation only being a fifth-round selection, more teams may be willing to take a run at Higgins. The original-round tender is worth $2.025 million if Higgins were to sign it.

A sneaky trade would be with the Rams, Josh Reynolds. 29 catches for 402 yards to go along with five touchdowns. The need picks.

Got a feeling we aren't the Rams favorite people right now but I could be wrong.
Reynolds looked capable and we need a savy.
I'd rather take a flier on Ross than Reynolds.
I think we have some Reynolds type receivers on the roster currently.

Thank you for sharing my Conley love.
I don't care what KC fans say about him they don't know the ideal gas law or should or shouldn't you have intercourse with a sibling.
They do know how to make ribs though.

I trust those yess Dads:rolleyes: to draft either Riley Ridley - Deebo Samuel - AJ Brown - Andy Isabella - David Sills or Hunter Renfrow.

I get your point, but some of those names go back 15 years! In fact, not a single one of those players was drafted in the top 3 rounds within the past 5 drafts.

What makes you think that Isabella has a higher ceiling than a proven NFL player who just had a bidding war for his rights in FA ?

I agree, Mitchell was a pretty, recent good draft pick up, but his knees would not hold up..

Not sure about how a 33 year old receiver (Nelson) would fit into this system..

Nelson is a real wr, comparisons to Decker...come on people, dont be ridiculous. Nelson has been a top 10 wr in this league for a number of years.

Decker..lmao..************

I took it more as a comparison to where they are in their careers in terms of just about being done with football, not a comparison in their play or body of work.

38 catches for 387 yards in his last 5 (!) games in 2018. Not sure how that equals "washed up." I'd take a shot.

His entire game is route-running and recognizing holes in the secondary.

Nelson could be the formerly great receiver that retires in camp lol. I'd be down to take a shot though.
