A lot of Teams are waaay under the Cap Mount Brown will get paid. He ain't taking that Patriots 9 or 10 Mill over a Jet - Browns or Bufallo 12 - 14 Mill.
Houston 15M imo.

So what is the answer at LT if:

A. Wynn doesn't work out; or
B. Depth due to injuries.

Are Croston or John the back-up plan (I hope not). Waddle is a FA. Draft again? This thread seems very thin for such an important position.

Wynn has all the ability and technique to be a 10 year guy at LT add that with Scar and he’s a pro bowler type of tackle.

They will address it as needed in the draft I imagine or waddle will be offered a new deal.

I’m worried he may have other injuries coming his way. Who knows what kind of shape he will be in after missing an entire season. In BB and Scarnechia I trust.

I think they will draft a LT

As usual, the gloom and doomers insist we can never resign a free agent. If we like them and they like it here a deal can always be made. The Patriots have only 2 free agents of any note, two. There are issues but, if both sides want it both could be signed. Maybe they load up with cheap rookies next year with their 12 picks.

Thank you for your contributions

You can count on Wynn for nothing -- literally nothing at all -- until you know that he is healthy.

This team had better have a solid plan B at LT if Brown walks. You need a couple reserve OL anyway and without Brown, LT is officially a weakness until Wynn proves otherwise.

draft/trade another LT I would think.

I think they will either draft an LT in the low rounds or sign a UDFA they like. I think they might bring in some young OL depth even if we keep Brown. It never hurts to get some young, hungry guys in the system to take over if the starters get hurt.

This looks like the polite way of saying that he’s going to the highest bidder and that it doesn’t take very long to figure out who the higher bidder is.

He wants to break the bank

Yep.

I think with one of the top 101 they have, they will move up to take a defensive playmaker. Not sure if its a DT or DE/Edge player

Of the remaining 4 I think they will take a T, FS, DE/DT and SS/FS.

Watch Wynn's tape, he has some of the quickest and smoothest feet as well as a very good first punch. Plays with great leverage as well. He will be coached up by scar and will be fine.

Agree we need depth across the Line but i can see this being addressed through the draft

That 3rd round comp pick will come in handy next year.;)
Seriously....they trade the 95th pick, go back 50 spots or whatever in the same draft, pay a solid starting LT ~$2m and are lining up to net a top 100 pick in return in 2020.

Talk about roster and cap management.

From a negotiating standpoint, it makes sense to send the message to other teams that you might need a little extra incentive to leave your current/previous team.
