Why would the Giants do that trade?

Because they would be trading a top 3 receiver for a top 3 receiver. However that is predicated on the premise that the Giants actually want to move on from OBJ, which is still unclear.

Antonio Brown was a 6th round pick.

For anyone that believes that the Steelers wont find a good WR to replace Brown via the draft guess again. If youre half as good as Brown youre still good.

Brown was pixxed off because JuJu blew up last season and is every bit of a stud that Brown is. Trade the cancer and Bell can go on too. The Pats would do the same with Bell wanting crazy money. The only mistake Pitt made was not dealing Bell last season.

We’re gonna find out about JuJu next season. Is he elite (he should be lined up against opposing teams top cornerbacks) or was he a product of defenses having to account for brown?

I'm not sure people appreciate how good Antonio Brown is.
He’s very good and he’s the only receiver that even has a chance to match Rice’s records if he can have a long career at this pace. That said, I don’t value WR’s a whole hell of a lot

This is some lose lose deal. The only winner is Brown's bank account (guarantees). He himself might never play a meaningful game again and OAK “patient“ rebuild (10y Gruden contract) and “change of culture“ officially ended. By the time they fix their lines, Brown will be but a memory, taking away 10% of the cap each “rebuild“ year.

Vegas will like this and it seems this is all that matters about the team to the owners at this point..

Chatham uses a useless data point in order to make a non-point. He's usually better than that.

Average production over SIX years
114/1524/11
Sick numbers. But I bet he never has a year with the raiders that reaches that average, for a number of reasons.

Yes. If juju produces without brown like he did with brown I’ll be surprised.

It will be interesting to see how much of AB's success is attributable to Big Ben & the rest of the Steelers' O.

He’s done it for so long it’s hard to consider him a product of the system or teammates, IMO.
The raiders literally had no one to throw to before this, and theoretically adding a guy who requires this much attention should help the young guys they will plug in with him.

Jesus. Now Pittsburgh post gazette journalist Gerry Dulac is saying a source emphasized the trade is agreement only..."not over until it's over". What a great look if true. The squeelers can't handle the backlash. Watch them back out. What a clown show.

All those ****ing Steeler fans were probably like "nothing less than 2 #1s and trade both of them so we own the #1 and #2 pick in the draft and draft all the best people" and now they're getting a 3 and a 5.

Hahhaa ****ing eat that **** you bastards.

Don't we do the same thing? ' a Patriot's first round pick is almost a second '

That 3rd round pick the Steelers get is what ? 2-3 picks after our second rounder ? This entire narrative of using "rounds" to convey value needs to stop.

It reminds me of those absolutely moronic arguments when we got Ealy for trading down a handful spots between the end of the second round and the start of the third (64 -> 72) and people were upset "that we gave up a second rounder and only got back a third round pick" for him.

If this trade results in OAK pulling a game out of KC that allows Pats to earn HFA then it is well worth it, as inferred by another poster.

How much AB gets paid is irrelevant to Pats cap.

Without AB, looking forward to the Pats D raping of Big Ben.
