Kraft Orchids Case - Prosecuters Want a Tug Rule?

You really should stop doubling down on this subject. I don't know why you insist on getting sidetracked into issues where you're talking out of your ass, but there's no need for it. It detracts from your central argument, which has actually raised good points.

Love me some Deus. Yes sah. On point and in your face.

Gillette may well have gotten the best return in their stadium naming rights of any corporation in history. They aren’t dumping that deal over this.

WEEI had the girl who started the petition on for an interview, apparently shes a serial petition starter over stupid **** and dont have the facts right on the Gillette petition.

Somehow that makes a lot of sense ...
Probably media savvy and dumb as a rock all in one.

I don't get why it's so difficult for people to understand why sometimes, a principled stand, with no hope of winning, is the right thing to do. I understand that it's a difficult thing to do for people and often don't have the courage to do that but I always thought that people understood the difference between standing up because you think you'll win and standing up because it's the right thing to do. After reading threads like this, I'm not so sure it's a concept that is intrinsically understood in all humans.

You can do all the "what ifs" you want, but Kraft was not going to retain those picks, nor get Brady's suspension reduced. When the league spends $2.5 million to nail you to the wall and you have two Federal Appellate Court judges saying it's unfathomable that Brady would destroy his phone, you're not going to win that. This isn't an argument about whether Brady is/was innocent. It's an argument of losing the battle to win the war. That's the point.
Brady’s phone had absolutely nothing to do with the court case. The court case was about goodells authority to decide the case regardless of whether his decision was supported by fact.

The draft picks had absolutely nothing to do with the court case.
Kraft chose to waive his right to appeal and disagree.
Since we all know the patriots were innocent of any wrongdoing at all its ridiculous to say a well coordinated appeal had zero chance.
Again by your logic we should have gone home at 3-28.

I listened to that segment. WEEI's been neutered because of the Reimer and Minihane missteps, so I couldn't stop laughing at the thought of the three guys wanting to just shred her for her stupidity and obvious opportunism, yet not daring to do so because of the subject matter and fear of the guest's response to the higher ups.

Hmm I thought he would hire Wayne Kerr.

As for the stadium ... Massengill Stadium would work.

Ughh ... did he go there? Yes he did.
I know.

He just needs to do what he always does:

Give the prosecutors a blue jersey.

I loved Deputy Dawg when I was a little kid!

And some wonder why just not cop to charges because cops say so, and there's video. Oops!

Here's some data-based research.
https://eml.berkeley.edu/~saez/saez-UStopincomes-2015.pdf

Here's the chart that results:

US-Average-Income-2015-1-300x166.png
I figured that was the statistic you used.

Those numbers represent the average income per person which is fairly meaningless because it includes people that don’t work (infants, children and retired citizens).

So a family with a household income of $150k with 2 parents and 4 children would show up as $25k per person....which is very misleading since the kids don’t work

But it looks good if you want to share a false picture of income inequality!

Household income is the correct economic statistic.

Here's the poverty line numbers. Left number is household size.
Code:
1 $12,490
2 $16,910
3 $21,330
4 $25,750
5 $30,170
6 $34,590
7 $39,010
8 $43,430
2019 Poverty Guidelines
So poverty line isn't $30K until you get to a family of 5. And it's not $35K until you get to 6.
And as you say, if the median HH income is $60K that means by definition 50% of households make more than $60K and 50% make less.
And poverty is truly a local/regional issue. It’s tough to live on $40k in eastern Massachusetts even as a single person. But make that in Alabama and you’re doing ok.

My father lives off $19k in social security plus around $8k in savings....so $27k per year and he’s not even required to file taxes. But he’s also 89 years old

The bottom line here is that 90% of Americans do not make under $35k. That’s a bogus statistic

Source? We have already discussed that a petition exists asking Gillette to do that, but online petitions aren't even worth the paper they are written on. I have seen nothing to indicate Gillette is actually considering the above.

I cant imagine that Gillette would not be talking about leaving.

You do understand that kraft was positively identified by his drivers license right?
You will have to explain how a different person being wrongly identified applies to a person who was properly identified.

OT: Based on what the notes say within the Excel data sheets, the bolded above is incorrect. The income numbers are household, so in your little example, that family would reflect 150K, not 25K. Unless you believe each person in a household always files a separate tax return (which tends to work against a married couple to do so), which is the source for these numbers.....

Not that this is the place to discuss US Wealth and Income inequality, but the record should be corrected.

EDIT TO ADD - Something like 96% of married couples file jointly. So yes, for those 96%, their income number in that statistic would be their household income.

Don't know if this link already has been posted but it cites how Kraft can beat the rap by challenging (1) the traffic stop ID, (2) whether the video was legally obtained and (3) whether police can prove the sex act involving the two licensed masseuses was solicited or consensual. Looks like he might be on his way to getting out of it.

So, in other words, you have no source and your “fact” is just speculation.

It’s pretty easy to imagine how they are not taking about leaving: they have a contract which runs another 10 years or so and they have a great deal on the naming rights.
