Worse use of cash: Bob's $79 bonus massage or someone actually paying $400,000 for a football card?

There was a woman reporter on WEEI this morning that covers this type of thing and said the local cops throw out the human trafficking angle a lot when theres no evidence. The cops could have shut this place down months ago but waited for a big name to frequent the place.

Correct, the day spa was licensed to conduct business. It's been in business since the 6 years I've been living here. The Florida Department of Health conduct a routine inspection. During that inspection that inspector noted shenanigans going on. Meaning there were visible sings throughout the spa that people were living there.

The owners of the spa didn't go out of there way to cover there tracks.
Was listening to Dan Patrick today. If this is accurate BK isn't the only idiot. The police put in cameras after they vacated the spa due to a bomb scare. The spa was the only building in the complex to be evacuated.

Clearly y9ou didn't bother to read the article from the NYT or other sources about the operation,. So your opinion is uninformed and worthless. The operation that is being taken down was in multiple locations in multiple states, with the exploited women being rotated to the different locations. The operation was INTERNATIONAL.

Please try to get the basic facts before bloviating.
'No Allegations of Human Trafficking' and 'Women Could've Walked Out' In Florida Massage-Parlor Prostitution Stings

There was a discussion on npr today about this and one of the women was saying that none of the women involved in the massage centers are saying they were coerced. Even the police are saying there is no connection to human trafficking. The sheriff was quoted as saying he believes the clients are the bigger problem in human trafficking than the traffickers themselves which I thought was a very strange take. The woman from the advocacy group said that position would be analogous to blaming the tomato customer for forced labor at the farm.

They have 117 translators available to the women only 1 will speak. The others have had their FAMILIES in China threatened by their group that victimized them.

IS this hard to understand? Would you talk if you family was going to be murdered?
The people who trafficked these women are vicious criminals. thenk mafia or Mexican Drug Cartels.

either way, someone got eff'd.

LOL ... WWWWOOOOOOOOWWWWW... so they took down ONE madam who they had tracking for months. That's a super impressive bust right there. Give us all a break. They didn't break up any human trafficking ring here. You're delusional if you think they did.

And I am sick of people committing criminal acts and then lying about it.
Sounds like you want to change the legal system to "guilty until proven innocent," shifting burden of proof to the accused.

There are several Countries with that system and it's not pretty. I'll keep ours, not perfect but it works since there are innocent people being charged all the time and evidence being planted, mistakes made, illegal procedures being done, etc.

Pointing out they have a long history as a Libertarian Mag, IOW they are usually credible, not infallioable, like any other news source.

Something being around a long time has very little to do with bias, integrity, etc. The KKK has been around for a bit.

You’ve been around a while, think it has something to do with it
