Browns sign Kareem Hunt to a contract. GM: “We believe he deserves a second chance"

Kareem Hunt...great running back in his prime. Ray Rice ....former good runner well past his prime.

Hmmmmmm....using the "Goodell Prism Of Integrity" I see now why Rice is banished and Hunt is re-established.

To be fair Rice TKOd her and dragged his wife.

I guess we won't see the Browns until Hunt has been reinstated...

The Browns signed a kicker?

well, truth be told, they actually signed a stomper

It's not something easily quantified but I definitely feel like they could have done more with what they've had the last few decades and I don't really feel the need to get into it more with you.

It's not something that exists. You just spouted it off as a justification, and you didn't think it through. You'd be better off just admitting that, instead of digging in on something that ridiculous. Teams don't run 20 seasons straight with double digit wins. That the Patriots are closing in on that is the exception that proves the rule, and even they haven't done it yet. Hell, the 49ers, with back-to-back HOF QBs, didn't even make 20 straight double digit win seasons.

You think it's a good idea for a team with decades of futility to sign aholes I think they'd be wiser not to rush and build with more high quality guys that you can count on. For what it's worth I didn't want Gordon last year or again this year either. You could argue he helped us get the 2 seed so I guess I was wrong.

I think that it's obvious that you take players you think you can work with. It's also obvious that the smart play, in any job involving talent rather than rote actions, is that you find the combinations of talent/personality/other that fit your 'team' and that you worry about the negatives as part of the whole, rather than as automatic deal breakers. And the Patriots understand this. They aren't all going to work out (see Haynesworth, Albert), but Randy Moss helped the team get to 18 straight wins and about 6 inches short of being a perfect 19-0, Corey Dillon helped the team win a SB, and Ty "My cousin's drugs" Law helped the team win SBs.

If things pan out and he plays like he did in KC this is a game changer for the Browns.

If Duke Johnson gets released, BB might be interested. He catches the ball as well as any RB coming out of the backfield.

lol what a joke. He deserves a second chance in the league but AFTER spending like a year making amends and working to better himself. Not now.

Hunt owned it from the beginning and apologized for his actions. He is in counseling and if he gets involved supporting a domestic abuse foundation that would go along way IMO.

Gordon can screw up to no end smoking his dope and be great guy around here.

If Josh Bob Marley gets to have five 2nd chances Hunt at least deserves 1..

Wow so you’re a sexist then?

Sorry but as a progressive feminist I believe she should have been laid out exactly like a man

I'm not much of a progressive (or regressive for that matter) anything, although I'm pretty sure I'd make a great lesbian. I friggin love women, I'm even married to one.

They sign Kareem or Mike?

are you ageist if you refuse to beat up and knock out a kid/toddler because maybe they kicked you or slapped you? lmao

there's a very high chance you're more powerful and stronger than the other person, you don't fight them, period

I'm old school I guess...my Dad taught me to never lay a hand on a woman in anger...ever. He was a state cop so I took his words seriously. Guess I've grown old to the point of being an inconsequential dinosaur whose opinion means zero to the ADHD generation. Seems obvious to me that Hunt was oblivious to any concept of respect for the opposite sex. Someone TAUGHT him that. Therein lies the real culprit.

I’ll always have exponentially more tolerance of someone who abuses drugs than someone who abuses other living things (be it animals, humans, etc.), regardless of how many times each respective mistake occurs.

Or, perhaps, someone wasn’t there to teach him that.

I heard the video was bad, then I watched it...those aren't kicks...he tapped her with his foot. Hunt is a top athlete and he barely touched her.

He deserves what he got, but this full throated hate for a young guy who got drunk and into a scuffle with a women calling him a N word....overhyped.

And I am as liberal as they come.

we'll probably be the first game for him. First play he kills out on a 80 yard wheel route pass
