I wonder if there is any NFL suspension still looming here?

Good move, IMO. They still have Chubb and Duke Johnson....I am guessing Hunt will be suspended a minimum of 6 games for the 2019 season having already served time during the 2018 season.

I am curious as to the contract terms....how much $$$ though....anything less than 7M a year is a STEAL, IMO.

So the NFL never suspended him?

Unless it's a horrible contract for the Browns, this is a good move IMO.

He’ll be suspended for a few games and then will add to an already impressive Browns backfield. Great move for them.

Hunt being released was the turning point for KC’s season to our benefit. If the Chiefs kept him they could have been SB champs.

lol what a joke. He deserves a second chance in the league but AFTER spending like a year making amends and working to better himself. Not now.

It's football. It's not VectorPrime's 12 steps to a better and more harmonious you. There's no reason for him be spending "like a year away making amends".

I disagree about this being a great move. You think you finally have your QB and this should be the most hopeful off-season for them in decades and your very first move is to sign this A-hole.

A veteran team that has been there before can afford a move like this. I think Seattle or someone like that but a young team hopeful to rise shouldn't take the gamble IMO.

Seems like it’d be tough playing alongside a teammate who beats up women. Haven’t seen a whole lot of players stand up or speak out against this sort of thing though.

He made a foolish mistake, but nothing compared to what Ray Rice did.

How many chances is this for him now?

Not great, but a decent gamble.

The Browns can take the gamble because they have a crapload of cap space and thus if he is suspended half the year it doesn't really affect their ability to make tons of other deals.

But you do have to wonder if they have a locker room that would make him straighten himself out.
