The whole week before the SB on NFL Network there were ads to buy your AFC Champions gear and I wondered why do they bother, no Pat fan buys that stuff. Does that merchandise also end up in Africa?

The best are the AFC East gear. Hats and t-shirts... but kind of expected at this point.

Has anyone ever seen a fan in 2018 AFC East gear?

I don't recall buying them but I got a few in my dresser.

8 years in a row in th afc championship game. That is incredible. Hard to believe anybody marching that.

Not to mention 6 Lombardi Trophies

....

Still not tempted to become a Redskins fan :D
Yes that was the easiest decision I made when I moved from NH to DC. Took one look at what Dan Snyder has wrought and gave renewed thanks for Robert and Jonathan and what they’ve built in New England.

11 SB appearances over 33 seasons since 1985 is awesome.

It should be noted that it wasn’t all barren before then. The 60’s and 70’s teams each had 4- year runs that were immensely entertaining with plenty of stars, and each had a team that was good enough to have won a SB. That mid 60’s team could play, and the ‘76 & 78 teams were arguably among the great teams ever, the ‘78 team still holds the nfl team rushing record averaging 226 yds per game and with a potent passing game too.

If they ever made some biodrama about Brady and Belichick itdi have to be a series. Too long for a movie lmao.

Redskins did start out in Boston, didn't they??????

Well yes, so long ago that it predates even me. I think the origin of having a stereotype-driven team was the Boston Redface Party, in which a frat called the Sons of Liberty dressed in redface (therefore shifting blame) and threw some tea into the hahbah. But seriously. I think that's why "Redskins."

Now showing on Netflix: "I Love You, Man: The Brady-Belichick Story"

The Patriots have been part of more than half of the games to ever be played in the month of February in the entire history of the NFL.

The Patriots have played a game in February more often than the combined total of Arizona, Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Green Bay, New Orleans, San Francisco, Dallas, Washington, Minnesota, Detroit, Tampa Bay, Kansas City, SD/LA Chargers, Oakland/LA Raiders, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Houston, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Miami, Buffalo and the Jetes. Combined.

The Patriots have played nine games in the month of February. That is triple the number of any other franchise.

The Pats have played more often in the month of February than the combined total of the Steelers, Seahawks and Broncos. They have played more often in the month of February than the combined total of the Colts, Panthers, Rams and Eagles.

If the Ravens somehow made it to the Super Bowl every year from now until 2026, at that point they still would have fewer games played in February than the Patriots.

If you took all the Jete fans born since they last won a Super Bowl and lined them up on the banks of the Hudson, I do not know how far the line would stretch.

But it would be better for all concerned if you lined them up in the middle of the Hudson.

We need an artist's rendering of banners hanging in Gillette if you include every playoff appearance, every MVP, etc., in team history (with bonus "eliminated by world champion" banners in those cases, and a 16-o reg, season banner)

IOW, would every seat have an obstructed viewing discount if we did this Clots-style?

We should also figure out, at a respectable 1 carat a pop, how many middle class girls Tom Brady could have proposed to by now with the diamonds in the hardware that he's earned.

Is there a banner for “Chance to win 3 straight Super Bowls”?

I've been a fan since 76 but during the lean years you had to pick an alternate team to root for just so you got something positive out of the season. The 70's it was always Steelers, Cowboys, Raiders and Dolphins. I was so sick of those teams. In 81, and the Pats were awful that year, I was rooting for the 49ers and Bengals juto to break the run. Hell I even rooted for the Eagles the year before that because the Raiders and the Dolphins were the worst for Pats fans.

So I totally get why fans of other teams hate the Patriots. At least with the Patriots the games are competitive. The Raiders blew out the Eagles and Redskins so badly it was over at halftime. Those games sucked. Rooting for the Redskins against the hated Fins it was a little better on the scoreboard but Washington dominated that game.

There have only been 4 bad SBs since the turn of the millenium. Ravens over Giants, Bucs over Raiders, Seattle over Broncos and Broncos over Panthers. Every other one has had 4th quarter drama. I will confess I actually really enjoyed the Seattle SB and watching forehead suck it. I watched to the bitter, for him, end.

Every Patriots SB has been epic even the defensive minded last one that people want to trash. That wasn't sloppy offensive play. It was hard hitting smash mouth football. Probably the hardest hitting SB since Patriots vs Panthers.

I "red X'd" you, just because that's our "disagree" symbol, not b/c I am mad... I simply disagree.

Not only didn't I pick an alternate team, I full on couldn't pick an alternate team... Maybe you hold on tighter in exile, I dunno. There's just 1 uni I can root for, two if you include Pat Patriot gear. The rest just doesn't do it for me, can't care more for one team than another, unless maybe if there is money on it or fantasy football reputation.

I disagreed because you disagreed. :p

I didn't say cared. I rooted for those teams because I hated the teams they were playing. So more or less I would have rooted for anybody to beat them. I still hate the Raiders, Fins and Steelers more than the Jets. I've rooted for BoB, Crennel, Patricia....even McDaniels in Denver but I can't root for Flores in Miami. The other other exception was Fredo with the Jets.

Hell, I was a part-time Redskins fan in 1990-1993 while living in D.C. without the Pats on TV nor in the papers (USA Today had game summary capsules on Mondays only)....and even liked the Cunningham/White Eagles too...exciting teams...

The Patriots were that bad after the Berry era and until Parcells/Bledsoe/Kraft all came aboard in order.....they almost ended up in St. Louis and Hartford!!!!

Whoa dude. That would create an environmental disaster of epic proportions.
You think
the Hudson is polluted now?
Just add a few jete and you got the world's biggest ceespool.
I agree the worlds a better place if you eliminate a few jete... but there's gotta be a more eco-friendly solution.

Brady has 9 sb appearances in 17 years as a starter, if you take out the acl year. So he gets to the super bowl in over half his seasons.
Did you see the stat where Tom Brady has a better chance of going to the SB (52.9%) than Terry Bradshaw had of completing a pass (51.2%), or Michael Jordan making a shot (49.5%)?

Amazing.
