Has the same role.
Not saying he is anything great but It sucks the Dolphins have so much interworkings of our team.
I'm not jumping off a cliff or anything I just would rather they not be so Patriot like.
BB is the special sauce and that they don't have.

I was wondering if BB would make him DC instead of going outside the organization. But I understand he needs to work his way up.

I fear the Dolphins could potentially sweep the Patriots next season. Not necessarily because they are better. But because of the knowledge they will have.
1st order of business is he needs a freaking haircut.

Wasnt Daly taking the preseason DC duties? That's usually the indicator for next in line.

Schiano is stepping in this year, but that is possibly because they feel like it may be too fast for Daly, whereas Flores was next in line for a while.
Clearly Daly was passed over.

Either BB doesn't see him fit for the DC role or he felt there were better candidates available.

Its become obvious BB is a good judge of coordinator-level coaching talent for his system. See Flores, Fat Matt, Josh, BOB, etc.

Ok, I can't even try to get worked up over the assistant QB coach going to Miami and not getting the title of QB coach because Jim Caldwell took that title as part of his being the assistant head coach.

Good, maybe next Februray they'll give new coaches a place to crash and help break down film for old time sake

Loss of Flores Boyer O'Shea simultaneously will be tough.

but good for them, they are significant pay raises I imagine for all 3.
Tough how? Its not like they are preordained to go 5-11.

BB must have known about Boyer leaving prior to the announcement if Schianno getting his job. That better explains the hiring of Schianno rather than going from within for the new DC.
If BB wanted Boyer to be DC he'd be DC instead of Schiano.

You can’t save everyone from the toilet.

Fears is still here too. We may not have the best running game each year, but except when we run the ghost of Stephen Jackson it hasn't been horrendous either. And RB blitz pickup has really been a strength of this team during the last two decades.
Ivan Fears does not get enough credit for the job he does.

RB has often been an afterthought here and Fears has always gotten them in a position to contribute as much as possible.

So Fat Matt was a ****ty coordinator?

Please.
In fact, I thought it was interesting that Belichick went out of his way to identify Detroit's game plan as the inspiration for SB 53. BB knows how Patricia has been trashed since he left here, especially in light of the SB 52 performance, and I think that was his way of telling the press they're wrong about trashing him.

I don't fault a single one of those guys for cashing in.
Now that B Flo got ahold of idiot Ross' checkbook it's all...

Bill will always defend people loyal to him.

Or he thought Boyer wasn't ready to be a DC.

Somehow Boyer went from viable DC candidate to hardly mentioned behind Schiano, Bielema, and Daly. It makes sense that he’d want to be higher than fourth in the defensive pecking order.
