The tickets have dropped below $3,000 in the last few days and I am hoping they get down to about $2,500 before I will buy. I don't see them going to $2,000 or below, but we can dream!

I am waiting too - I would be willing $3500 for lower bowl seats, and $2500 or so for upper bowl. For SB51, I got a steal of a deal for 10th row end zone for $3300.

I waited until Wednesday before the SB. I used tickpick to purchase my ticket and avoided the buyer’s fees. Prices are typically less on tickpick but the quantity of tickets they list is less than stubhub, etc. I think I saved $500-600 dollars.

@PatsDeb and others monitoring the drop, they're down to $2300 on StubHub (not including fees). I honestly think you can wait until tomorrow or Saturday and they'll be in the mid-upper 1,000s but would only advise this strategy if you already have travel plans and are cool with potentially not going to the game if they somehow rise.

LOL, Tune - You sound just like my daughter, the beneficiary of my soft heart. She knows (as well as everyone else) that I have the word "SUCKA" tattooed on my forehead. Prices have come down today, however, so it looks like perhaps I won't be as burned (well-done?) as I was last year.

And therein lies the rub. They have dropped to just about what I am willing to pay. Do I pull the trigger and experience depression and regret if they go a lot lower? Or do I ride the roller coaster for another day or two risking a price move the other way. I am going to Atlanta no matter what, but was (in a bigly bummed out way) thinking that I might have to go to a bar to watch if prices remained over $3000.00. I was especially bummed because right after the AFCCG for about 1/2 a day, TickPick had tix for just over $2300, and I didn't pull the trigger (mostly that was due to having to shift things around financially). First world and incredibly lucky problems, I know.

No worries. I went to the SB in 2007 and 2011 too, and those losses hit me a lot harder than last year's for some reason (I think it was because I had my 15 year old daughter with me who kept saying, even after the loss, that this was the best trip she has ever been on. We had so much fun with each other and the friends we were with). The outcome of the game was a big disappointment, obviously, but I did not regret going or the price I paid. The stadium was beautiful, I had never been to Minneapolis or much of the Midwest (we flew into Chicago and drove to Minneapolis to save $$) so I enjoyed being a tourist and hanging out with other fans. The people in Minneapolis were awesome - the entire city was organized around the SB and there were greeters and nice folks everywhere you went. We ran into Fitzy at the Mall of America. I bought my tickets the day before the game from Ticket King, which claimed to be the Ace Ticket (i.e. biggest local broker) of Minneapolis. We went to their local office and they gave us a list of the tix they had on site. Obviously they are trying to make money, but the guy said he didn't think the prices were going to drop any further, and we needed 4 seats together (this year I need 3), and it WAS the day before the game. Lots of Philly fans went (in fact we were surrounded by them at the game), so I think the demand was higher last year.

PS - I have already heard/read not to expect the same hospitality from the locals in Atlanta, but it looks like there are lots of Pats fans and parties to hang out with. Nothing beats being at the game in my opinion, but a win would be so sweet!

If your comfortable with the price pull the trigger. A few hundred in savings isn't worth it compared to them rising.

I am planning to go to Hudson's on Saturday for the party between 2-6; hopefully one will be able to get in!

Is this @ the Sandy Springs location? If yes, that seems a bit away from the stadium and I remember reading that they open @ 10 and price includes full buffet.

My hotel is in Lawrenceville and I will probably reach there around 8 pm on Saturday.

I planning to dump the rental car at the Gold station and take the Marta train in on both days. Hopefully there are activities going on late on Sat night.

If you have the funds and it's not going to put you in debt, I'd encourage any pats fan to go to at least one super bowl. It's a once in a lifetime experience, the dynasty is most likely not going to be around for much longer, and you never know if they'll get back.

My situation worked out perfectly with the Falcons Super Bowl so it was obviously worth every penny but even if they lost it was something i always wanted to do. The Pats are such a big part of our lives so why not spend a little money and experience the ultimate entertainment with your favorite team
