If I can make the trip for $10k or less, I’m going. Need to do it on 2 tickets, though.

What are y’all anticipating in terms of crowd distribution? Cant imagine too many rams fans making the trip personally but i really have no idea

I hear you bro.

At a different stage in my life, I too faced the harsh reality of studying and working in the Boston area and wondering where the heck the money went and if it is worth slogging there. In fact, @ one stage, I decided to save the $10+$3 I spent back then @ the barbers by trimming my hair myself. Glad that I was/am too average looking not to be bothered.

Lucky that times have been good to me since then. I can now afford to go the barber, but my hairline is now receding.
I went the route of the dollar shave club for a bit and shaved my head as a hair cut too lol. I thought I was making good money until all of my peers told me I was getting way underpaid. Hopefully I will have this job lining up for me and then I can afford these $20 hair cuts again

I urge you all to do everything in your power to attend. Its more than just the game. NFL mardis gras atmosphere with lots going on that does not cost a dime. Explore Atlanta. They have virtually everything. I used to live there.

So, my CPAs wife called me Friday night. Turns out that my CPA was diagnosed with cancer this past May and passed away last Monday. I had no idea since i only see him around tax season. Healthy guy about 55 years young did not smoke or drink. I should be dead and not him. His 80 year old father is still alive and in decent health.

If youre sick or dead you cannot go. Just go.

We went to the NFL Experience here in Phoenix for SB49. One regret. Not camping out the team hotel 15 minutes away. Work and sort of bad weather but still....would have been cool. The NFL Exp is pretty cool, see lots of NFL players and it was a neat experience seeing all the NFLN and ESPN sets. Also saw the CSNNE guys doing their shows.

I’m just pointing to the fact that all of the prices around a one hour circumference of the city will almost certainly be jacked way up.

When I had hotel rooms for the one in Phoenix, I believe that we were going to save a fair amount of money by staying at a hotel that was approx. 90 mins from the venue. Since airfare won’t be a concern, you don’t need to worry, but I’m guessing that flights to ATL will be much higher than say, other parts of Georgia, where you could reasonably rent a car and finish the trip via driving instead of flying into ATL directly.

Yeah fly into Valdosta Regional and drive the 2ish hours up to ATL.

Wait... this is music to my ears...well, eyes.

Not going to hope that I could also be as lucky as you to pay only $100 over face but curious about your strategy and would appreciate any guidance please.

Did you buy the tix on game day on those 6 SBs?

From someone at the stadium or online?

Hopefully the tix on the other 4 SBs didn't cost you an arm.

Thanks,

SB42 I met a character from Boston who knew no strangers. His father worked on the Red Sox grounds crew. Anyway, the character met a couple from Baltimore with tickets to the game. The husband worked for ESPN and at the last minute had to work the Super Bowl. I bought his ticket and sat next to his wife who was just a sweetheart.

SB46 I hung around the StubHub kiosk and spoke with everyone that would talk to me about tickets. I met a ticket broker from Canada who eventually called me with a ticket. Lots of Giants fans were in the same boat as me. Say what you want about them, but they want a bargain. Long story short, we waited the ticket prices out and they dropped like a rock day of the game. I bought my ticket 20 minutes before kick off.

I’m going to Atlanta; not sure about the game. Lots of folks go for the atmosphere. Triumph is right - it’s awesome!

Youre winning this one Deb after being robbed last year.

Hope you get in.

If I may—I’d recommend booking the hotel rooms and possibly even flights a couple of hours away, and renting a car to drive to the stadium.

That alone would save you a fair amount.

Another option is renting an RV near Atlanta and parking at a campground. There is a campground with water, elec and sewer hookup at Stone Mountain which is basically in the city. Life dont get no better than grilling out and sitting outside getting drunk with a campfire.

I get what you’re saying, man. While I share the same problem as those who can’t go due to having other financial responsibilities, I respect the point that you’re making.

I came close in SB49 vs SEA. Had hotel rooms reserved and everything. Tix ended up being a bit higher than expected and airfare was a *****. Within a few days we realized that it just wasn’t going to be something that we could afford, and that we were “off” by several thousand dollars. We had a dog that was diagnosed with cancer the day before the BAL game in the divisional round, a couple of weeks earlier, so priorities had changed. That’s the closest I’ll probably ever get.
Wish you could make it somehow Bro.

So many things have to right for the Pats to even make it there.

Thats my thinking.

Saints fans would have been coming out of the woodwork.

Does your camp spot come with Lost Cause reading material?

Asking for a friend.

What would be a reasonable amount to spend on a Superbowl trip be?

Say 2 people going

I am 30 minutes from the Falcons stadium. I’m considering it... maybe I’ll go to that meetup in Atlanta for the first time ever

I hope it's a different outcome than last year. Ugh, last year was so brutal.
The eagles threw everything they had at us. Philly special and all and it was just barely enough.
