Develin came up huge, but how come James White wasn't seen on the last drive? He did the press conference after, but took a hard hit earlier.

I know the RBs are somewhat interchangeable, but this is James White in OT!

In other news Sony Michel played 34 snaps and had 29 carries.

Are Sony and James dinged up or was it just fresh legs with Burkhead? Nice 3 headed monster for their run/pass game

Wondered same thing : White is so consistent... had to be injury related...

Right, i was suprised white was not in more. Hes such a huge weapon but thankfully jules and gronk picked up the slack.

Michel appeared to wear down and that’s why I think burkhead was the main ballcarrier. This is a bigger workload than Michel is used to and he did not seem as effective/ decisive in half 2. Just shows the importance of burkhead as depth, if we still had hill that would have been amazing.

White being out is the news I’m eager about this morning. Injury or what the game plan called for at the time?

I feel like they needed a double threat... Michel lost some steam by the end, but they never seem to completely give up on the run

With Rex, you have someone who can catch and run with some reliability

Just my guess, also didnt see him getting hit or showing discomfort, whatever the case, hope he's ready to go 2 weeks from now

According to Reiss, he was actually in on the last drive for 5 of 13 snaps and no known injury.

Patriots ran the ball 48 times. Chiefs had 47 total plays. I think that speaks for itself.

Sony was gassed. I'm convinced of it.

I also thought White was injured but in the replays he was out there.

I think just came down to Burk having the freshest legs.

94 plays...unheard of.

It worked

Rex looked fresh in OT..
maybe that had a lot to do with it.

That's what it was.. that very last drive, Burkhead just rammed it in there and the Chiefs literally had no energy left to stop him.

If only their coach had some magical power to literally stop time to give them a breather on the biggest goalline series of their franchise in forever.

LoL, I turned to my buddy and said, Romo is right, but Reid isn't going to do it. He wanted to save those timeouts so he would have them next season.

Yea but I'm not sure it mattered.

Probably not, but wouldn't you want to give your guys a second to catch their breath? I mean considering a trip to the SB is on the line?
Agree.

Burkhead is the guy that can keep the D off balance. With him it can be a run or pass. With White it’s likely a pass and with Michel it’s likely a run. That’s probably why Burkhead was in so much at the end.
