Pre Super Bowl Thread- On to the Rams

People will forget all about that Rams call and talk about the calls that went the Patriots way while ignoring the calls and non-calls that went KC's way.

Both teams caught breaks and received breaks.

The problem this year is refs are taking 4Qs away from coaches, players, fans .. on a pretty regular basis (blown calls, cowardly non calls, followed by silly compensations).

I know its not an easy job but this year was just too much.

Thank x they let the OT played..

Game ball to the correct coin flip caller.

Will Sony be healthy for the bowl? Rams run defense is soft on the edges. If Sony is healthy and we have gronkowski and allen blocking on the side of brown, Sony could average 7 plus yards a carry.

Can we stop the rams running game? Does Gilmore line up against cooks? Can Jackson control woods? Who covers Reynolds?

That kid has it. No doubt about it.

That kid was lucky as hell on a lot of throws, though. I think we ignore those with that kid, because we are so intently looking for the spectacular positives.

Serious question for those watching 5th Quarter: Is that actually Jason McCourty posing as Devin? He looked a little bit different, and that sounds like something they would do...

There's only one Brady, give the kid his due.

Oh I’ve said he is a really really good QB. Just saying. You can’t ignore he has Kelce and Hill. Moreso Hill. That opens the field up a ton. I don’t see him threading the needle very much. His arm is awesome, he throws on the move better than anyone this side of Rodgers.

The opening line for the SB is pick 'em

Surprising based on the Rams utter lack of Sb experience but not so shocking when looking at Patriots SB history of just barely winning or losing. I'd not be surprised, however, if it doesn't drift to Patriots -1 to -2. Is it likely half the money going to the Rams after the Patriots beating KC and in KC while the Rams were rather, ahem, fortunate to come away with that win in NO?

Mahomes is better than anyone not named Brady or Brees. He will probably be the future of this league after their gone.

When all is said and done Im sure Tommy will mention him amongst best he's played even if its the last big game of the two. Although they both should be heavily favoured for AFCCG re-match in 2020..

Agreed. the D cutting the knees out from the best O in the league, in their own stadium, was HUGE!
I'd also give major kudos to the OL too. Brady can't be Brady when the OL doesn't get it done. And James White is Mr January again, Rex with some clutch runs, Sony great first half. and some super clutch catches by Gronk, Jules, Hogan.

But Brady? Damn, he may not have quite the same physical tools but that's the rarest of ice water in his veins. I'm twisting and contorting from my warm comfortable couch with each play. Brady looks like he could be sitting in front of a quiet fire with a pipe in one hand and a Hawthorne tome in the other. The cool poise and execution in insanely hectic moments was otherworldly.

Tom Brady and Alex Honnold (the guy who climbed El Capitan without a rope). They are on the same plane to me with the whole ice water in the veins thing. They are not like other humans. Their brains are just different when it comes to pressure.

That kid was lucky as hell on a lot of throws, though. I think we ignore those with that kid, because we are so intently looking for the spectacular positives.

He's been doing it all season. Not sure where to rank him but he's definitely one of the better young QB's. He didn't fold under pressure at all and drove his team down the field for the go ahead score a couple of times.
