I think the Pats of a few years ago with not much of a run game wouldn’t have much of a chance on Sunday.

This team as constructed does imo.

We have better coaching, defense, OL and run game. They have a better passing offense.

QBs are imo a wash. For all the shiny stuff Mahomes is doing with the ball he is still way behind Brady on a mental level.

ST are a wash as both units have been among the better ones.

Whoever makes fewer mistakes will win on Sunday.

Agreed. Mahomes is a gun slinger. His mistakes in week 6 were part of the reason why the Pats ended their undefeated streak. Gun slingers tend to make mistakes.

Not that it matters for this game but I also think this team as constructed would reverse the result of those Ravens and Jets playoff losses. I really believe they have something here with this run game.

Seems like the Patriots are far better at home than on the road. Do you leave some guys at home? Or do you think that it's possible that a team can perform differently at home. Because some pretty ****ty teams **** slapped you on the road.

I know you're a rookie but the sarcasm went over your head.

Do the Pats? Because we suck on the road.

How the hell are people just ignoring that the Pats have SUCKED ON THE ROAD. It matters! Unless you want to throw out the regular season in which case you HAVE to throw out the Chiefs performance too!

What???!!
I posted that there are big advantages to playing at Arrowhead for the home defense.
Someone disagreed and wrote it's because they have good players that they play good defense at home as opposed to the road.
So I wrote, "Do they leave those good players at home?"
I have no idea how your post responds to that.

NEW ORLEANS can face Manning #18 and Brady #12 (1812) in the SB. Eagles (America) began the NFL season winning 18-12 and ended their season in NEW ORLEANS. The American PATRIOTS won the Battle of New Orleans ending the War of 1812. I had everything laid out in my pub thread until it was removed. Come back here after you lose the AFCCG Chiefs fans.

Wikipedia Shows The Patriots Have Won AFC Championship Game That Hasn't Even Been Played Yet

Interesting. Mentally logging this post.

Sorry. With people saying Kelce isn't an elite receiver, or that Arrowhead may be quiet because it's cold, or people will leave at halftime if we are down two scores, or that Mahomes does "shiny things" it's hard to sort through what is sarcasm and what is just being stupid. I'll try to pay closer attention. I guess you do understand that teams can be much much different at home even with the same players.

The question is: which team has been more mistake-prone this year? My impression is that it has been the Patriots, which is uncharacteristic for a Belichick team.

Yes, that was the entire point of my post. I wrote that the Chiefs defense improves at home, naturally, and for a variety of reasons. Someone chimed in and said, "It's because they have good players." So I sarcastically asked if they left those guys at home when they go on the road. LOL.

The Chiefs run defense still gave up 6 yards per carry to the Colts last Saturday. For some reason the Colts gave up on it. I doubt the Pats will.

The Pats need to prove that they can win a tough game on the road. The onus is on them to prove the doubters wrong.
I have no basis for this aside from a general feel from watching Pats the last few seasons. It almost seems like the Pats play the regular season like an extension of pre-season or a way to tune up for the playoffs. There are obvious goals (win division, get a bye, a plus is HFA), but I don't think there is ever any doubt in BBs mind that they will make the playoffs.

As such, it seems they are constantly fine tuning plays, schemes, and trying different things during the regular to get ready for the playoffs where the real season begins for the Patriots.

Therefore, I pretty much dismiss most of the regular season short of injuries that have an obvious impact in the playoffs. The Pats seem to turn it on during the playoffs coming out with new plays and looks.

This year in particular they seem to have more of a focus on balanced attacks with the run game which only improves the pass game. Obviously anything can happen in KC and nothing is guaranteed but I for one am not nervous at all. I have a sense that BB, McD, and Flo will come up with a game plan to prepare the team to meet the challenges that come from playing a very good team with a good coach at their house.

Let's F*ing Go Pats!!

OT question: Shouldn't the Chiefs have an Indian Chief for a mascot? What's up with that fat *** rat looking creature?

To be fair, we were up big right away. I'm pretty sure we were up by 17 by the time the Colts got a first down. That took them out of their running game. And if you are up big on the Colts, you let Marlon Mack do his thing and keep Andrew Luck from doing his.

Chiefs also gave up 194 rushing yards to Baltimore...

Line is currently Chiefs at +1. In other words, the experts seem to think this is a toss up. I am very surprised that so many people (experts) are picking the Saints based on the "dome"factor. Home field didn't help the Saints to start the Eagles game. And they beat Pittsburgh at home, aided by a few huge PI calls. But I haven't seen enough from the Saints for experts to totally dismiss the Rams due to HFA.

If you rush for 194 and Brady rushes 14 times and throws for 147 yards, I will be one happy dude. That's not the way you'll beat us.

I’m sorry Brady ain’t Lamar Jackson...
