There's 5 minutes left in the current game and the lead is a scant 19 points. Let's hope another unfortunate case of premature exclamation

After watching this game, I’m confident the Patriots are capable of playing a level above the Chiefs. The dominant running game and swarming defense are things the Patriots are capable of, while the Chiefs are not. But can they put it all together on the road? That’s the question.

The exit results are already in....

* added PHI and CHI because it's former Reid coordinators

I recall a post here after the Superbowl about how the Pats were shredded in week 1 of 2017 and in the last game of the 2017 season by a Reid offense. I wish I could find the analysis but from memory the general point Reids offense has the Pat D number.

Here's an article I found about the Bears matchup:

Bill Belichick sees similarities between Matt Nagy and Andy Reid

What do you guys make of the Reid offense vs BB defense going into this matchup?

Capable, but probable ? I think many factors aligned leading to this beatdown (1) rest (2) weather (3) LA travels (4) home game.

I am definitely NOT picking this type of game next weekend and I think KC is rightfully the fav... will be interesting though. Because, for all of their faults, NE isn’t the mentally weak Colts. And Andy Reid vs BB makes me belly laugh.

Prelim weather around 10 degrees at game time. Good! (15 degrees for a high - but game starts 5:40 local time)

If only that miracle in Miami didn’t happen, this game would be at home.

Excruciatingly true. However, they played to win that game. It’s not like 2015 when they underestimated having HFA. This team got pummeled in a bunch of road games too. I don’t know if you can really argue they were better than their record in the regular season. Regardless, we are where we are.

The Kareem Hunt loss could be a huge development, as he was so deadly as a WR. If KC cant run effectively and needs to throw, throw, throw, I think the Patriots are one of the few secondaries who can shut that down.

I've been impressed with Damian Williams...I don't think they'll be missing Hunt.

Anyone know if they're hiring to guard fire alarms?

The Pats have been bad on the road this year but that doesn't matter now, they need to play one good 60 minutes on the road.
