One thing in the PAts favor that will be ignored is the absence of Kareem Hunt, he has killed the PAts in previous meetings. The Pats have played Kelce effectively in the past prevents bil plays by Hill in the ST phase in addition to limiting him as a receiver is huge.

Mahomes is gonna be the best QB of his generation IMO. Some game management glitches by Reid would be appreciated.

Don't want to get too excited after this win but I hope they break a broom handle off in their ass next week. Queef fans are one of the most insufferable fanbases you'll ever find. My hatred for them rivals the Baltimore Turdbirds, Denver Elway/Sharpes, JETE, Gints, Lolphins, and Stillers.

Edit: And the salty tears from the ******* media should we pull it off could fuel me for years to come. Especially that shifty eyed, mammoth nose know it all Nick Wrong.

We will hear a lot about the PAts not winning on the road in the playoffs for a long time. That will ignore the injuries that plagued the teams that lost AFCCG on the road.
As BB and we should realize what happened years ago in the playofs has nothing to do with next Sunday.

Seeing Brady this week he is healthy as opposed to the period from the Titans game through the Bills game.

Miracle in Miami is the reason this is a road game. Oof.
The Miracle in Miami was an outstanding play by Miami executed to perfection. Credit to the dolphins. Its not like the patriots gave the game away, the dolphins earned it with an incredible play.

This is exactly what happened in 2013(?)

We dropped the ball down in Miami that cost us seeding, and we ended up having to travel to Denver and lost on the road.
Better this time due to no altitude issues. Denver is a bad place to play because of that.
Also, Denver ahd an absolutely killer defense who could put incredible pressure on Brady. Chiefs on the other hand will pressure the D but do not ahve the D Denver did.

This.

I get nervous when he rolls out. That’s how he wins. Need to contain.
Mahomes is extremely dynamic and so talented. No way to completely shut him down. He will get his points. Pats are going to have to outscore him in this omne to win with potent consistent offense.

I was one of the very few board members to pick the Broncos in 2015/16 AFCCG. I’m picking the Patriots this time around. This team is really healthy and peaking at the right time; their offense is in some ways harder to stop because they aren’t reliant on superstars. That and the 2015/16 Broncos, I knew, were capable of beating us if Goober played a halfway decent game; Mahomes NEEDS to play at MVP level for them to win this game, and most games for that matter. In the playoffs that’s a really tough bar. The Patriots have been there a few times themselves.

Actual quote from that article:

You don’t become the Worldwide Leader without that kind of insightful analysis, folks.

Did Booger write that one?

Quick thoughts on the game... Facing the LAC defense was good practice for the KC defense. They don't run the same scheme exactly but they are build the same way.

They depend on the DL to carry the back end. The offense will be just fine if the offensive line plays well. They way they are playing right now I believe they will contain Ford/Houston/Jones. Not stop but contain. If they successfully do that they will score on this defense.

Easier said than done. KC demolished the Colts line which was respectable. They have the best pass rush left in the playoffs now that the Eagles are out. I don't think Eric Berry will have an impact this game no matter what.

As far as our defense... just need to do their best. Probably do what they did last game mostly. Focus Kelce and then do whatever they can to stop/slow down Hill. Watkins will be an issue but you can't double everyone.

My thoughts are take Kelce away (cause they don't have anyone who can take away Hill) and make them score 30+ without him. Those are my first thoughts.

Uh..the Pats played KC already. They have plenty of current game tape to go over. This game won't be about prep, it'll be about execution and mistakes.

Where would you put Gilmore? He is one heck of a chess piece.

Run the ball down their throat, control time of possession, get Mahomes off the field as much as possible, win.

KC's only major advantage is the home field, Arrowhead as you all know can get really loud. Talent-wise it's about the same.

Mahomes will extend plays, but the key I think is to make him roll left.

I personally think Hill is the more important guy to stop than Kelce. Cant allow him to consistently make big plays with his speed.

Will Belichick do something we havent seen before to slow these guys down?

Maybe put Gilmore on Kelce, and your fastest guys with safety help over the top on Hill? Seems like JC Jackson should draw the main assignment with help from DMac and Harmon.

Make Watkins (1 on 1) and Damien Williams beat you while switching up from zone to man to hopefully force Mahomes into a few mistakes (picks as it will be tough to sack him). He’s too mobile to use the same game plan as we did vs Rivers and expect good results.

The OL played outstanding today and can neutralize the Chiefs DL as well IF they can communicate. They had a quiet work environment to call out the protections today, that stadium will be loud and communication will be difficult.

In 2015, the broncos kept getting in the backfield on like every other play. Chiefs haven’t been known for doing that but I’m worried that they play a lot of man coverage. The saints played man coverage against the eagles and shut down the birds offense in the second half. That is what worries me

It takes a lot more than a couple of effective outside pass rushers to get that consistent pressure. The Broncos has Miller and Ware, but we’ve seen Brady handle a duo like that many times by using the aggressiveness to his advantage. What made the Broncos (and Ravens years ago) very difficult is they also had Wolfe and Malik Jackson, solid linebackers, and Talib and Harris at CB. You need a **** ton of really great defensive players to really shut down an offense. Teams that invest all their money in a couple of 15 sack guys are exactly what the Patriots love to dismantle. I don’t know enough about KC to give an opinion about them though, other than that they sure aren’t the 2015 Broncos defense.

Anyone care to explain what we did so well in that first half against the Chiefs in the early season matchup? 14pts is as good as it gets - what did we do well and can we expect that to continue?

Edit: ImI pretty damn drunk sry typos all overrr
