I was speaking to one of the Draft Gods on here @BaconGrundleCandy about what his ideal draft would be for this years draft coming up.

Thought it would be a good idea for all of us to have a think what we could end up with potentially.

Trade ups etc are all good but just make sure to be realistic in what we could be looking at!

I would like see Patriots to move up board and land impact players at the draft strength positions instead of waiting and ending up with nothing or special teams players.

Who would you like us to look at?

My personal favourite draft i've seen is Drafttek so far

I am anticipating that we will have 6 of the first 102 picks.

My goal would be

1st round - de Ferguson la tech
2nd round - safety thornhill Virginia
2nd round - DT Lawrence LSU
3rd round - OT Hyatt Clemson
3rd round - olb Jennings Alabama
3rd round - DT Russell auburn

Surprised you’ve gone Tackle early. Haven’t seen much of the first three guys. Jennings would be a nice addition. Always a fan of Bama guys due to the coaching they get

I really like Ferguson. Incredibly violent hands, plays the run well enough. Got a lot to learn going to the nfl, but once he does, he could be really special. And those hands are brutal!

This is the kind of guy we need opposite flowers.

Pretty sure he's going back to school. Otherwise, great picks! :)

He said after his bowl game he would announce something in the next few days. That's more than a week ago. He might go back, but I just have a feeling he won't. Something about the way he talked about concentrating on the bowl game out of respect for the school, coaches, and team mates. Felt like a goodbye game to me. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking. :)

I'm trying to find the article I read that he was going back, but I'm having difficulty locating it -- I did find out that he's been training with some other draft prospects, however, so he may still come out this year. I'll try to find the news release I saw.

Good call. Mea culpa.

Wilkins, DT
TJ Hockenson, TE (really want this guy)
Taylor Rapp, S
Sternberger, TE (double dipping at TE)

I really sternberger could be special in our offense,

If he runs well, we need to have him as a draft priority.

Lot to address this offseason, can really go in any direction

O has to get younger (QB, WR, TE) and D has to get better (DL, edge) and younger (S)

Jeremiah has tj hockenson going at number 8 to the Lions. Probably time to find another binky at tight end. :-(

Ideal draft is picking at #32 (or trading down)...LFG

I am beginning to think that bb will trade out of the #32 pick and try and collect a second for 2020.

This draft is so deep, that the player skill difference between 32 and 42 is very tiny. But the extra year of control will be important to someone,

I just hope we don’t draft a QB this year. Who thinks it’s likely?

Not sure how "likely" but the current starter will be 42 and his back up is Brian Hoyer
