Division playoff game thread:Cowboys @ Rams

Watch your damn mouth Talib!

Talib is such a punk.
I'm so glad he's not a patriot.
You’re completely right that he’s a punk, and yet i f**king love his energy and wish he was still a patriot. Also Goff is a deadpan comedy genius for “he’s right though, he’s right”

Poor Jerry!

Another year, another wait til next year!

Much like the neutered dog, he just doesn’t get it!

He may have to think twice before signing Dak Prescott to a major, long term deal. I expect them to make that determination about a year from now.

Personally, I think they should find a different QB before they have to pay 25m for this kind of middling performance. Just my opinion.

Kinda boring day of playoff football.

Home teams get ahead and stay ahead with only a slight tease of possible drama towards the end.

Yeah, extremely boring. At least we get to watch the pats today. Unless we get blown out we have guaranteed excitement incoming.

Agreed. However, the boys seem to love mediocrity as evidenced by Jason Garret’s length of stay. I’d say you can almost guarantee Prescott gets locked up if they keep people like him around.

Funny thing is, if I understand it correctly, Kroenke is paying for the entire stadium out of his own pocket?

Kroenke's the guy who the owners allowed to move to LA because they feared a lawsuit, even though fans here insisted that Kraft couldn't sue the NYFL.

Like Kraft, Kroenke can afford to build his own stadium, and should.

As i expected a Rams win...i have to say i like Lar throwbacks...great they playied too in playoffs with those classics...

Rams out of timeouts, so no challenges left. The challenge might be worth more than that TO

I can't comment on the call last night (I wasn't around for it) but the challenge was definitely worth more than the TO for the 4th and 2 call by Belichick in Indy.

Cowboys run D might be peaking at the right time. Holding a 160 yards rushing a game Seahawks offense to less than 75 is impressive.

Its even more impressive how quickly things turn 180 in this league.

This same D boosted by return of #1 LB Lee allowed 273 rushing yard to Rams who managed only 52 not long ago against CHI.

Just shows how futile numbers and predictions are in this game.

Rams ran all over two star young LBs Vander Esch and Smith. Vander Esch, rated #4 LB of the regular season (+second team all-pro), was watching the most important DAL D drive from the sidelines. He had a great season but one knock on him coming from college was that while he is making tackles all over the field he struggles with tackle efficiency near LOS. He played the run much better than projected during the season but in the most important game of the season he struggled exactly where one scouting report saw his weakness.

Earlier, Chiefs (w/o Hunt) ran all over another rookie star LB Leonard (first team all-pro!).

Shows how futile regular season awards and individual awards in general are.

People here were joking about Pats drafting Bentley, another big “slow“ LB (that here roughly translates into JAG) but id guess he'd do well in January football. And even though Draft days are in the Spring it wouldn't hurt if reactions would consider that Pats are drafting with January in mind..

Pats did have their share of struggles stopping the run (part of it was game plan related as well) but “JAG“ LBs did pretty well covering for poor DL play.
