We also "shouldn't need" Russell Wilson throwing a ball into Malcolm Butlers arms at the goal line or Matt Ryan choking and taking a sack in FG range in the closing minutes of regulation to win...but, I'll take a win no matter how it comes. In this case, crappy weather could be the difference and I'm not going to ask for anything else.

Crappy weather could be the reason that the Chargers win, that would be disappointing.

You’re crazy I love going to bad weather games. Went to the Jags game against Byron Leftwich where a blizzard rolled through at half time. Went to that Titans playoff game against McNair where it was 7 degrees. Went to the game against Buffalo where Blount ran all over the Bills in pouring rain at 38 degrees. Some of my favorite of the 50ish games I’ve been to.

Good for you. Cold is one thing different from heavy rain or slushy snow with the cold. Been there done that, not doing it again. I will take my electric lounge chair, fireplace and a couple of Manhattens and watch the Pats win.

Lol my dad says that almost word for word every time I invite him to a winter game.

So why am I crazy if your dad tell you the same? Us old Guys are right, again.

We play in snow this weekend, win and beats Colts again in a snow game next weekend.
Be ready for Weathergate :D
Naw, only if it snows inside the Benz when we play the Saints

If I was going, I'd rather have snow than cold rain.

With a temp around 30, regardless of snow, the weather is still going to be part of the home field advantage.

THIS.

I did the same Jags game in the blizzard....by the time I got back to the car...I had to turn on the heat at full blast and was not comfortable for another 15 minutes... No thanks. Gimme an indoor dome game or an early fall game at Gillette....

Early fall games are pretty awesome as well. Fall in general is awesome.

See? Now it says "Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19. North wind around 6 mph." Completely different from yesterday. But the trend is showing it may be colder than expected. Wonder if the windchill will be high...

Regardless of whether it snows, it’s going to be cold and even colder if you throw in the wind chill....that’s going to effect their passing game.

The Chargers were 7th in the NFL in yards per rushing attempt. The Pats were 29th in yards per rush allowed

As far as I can tell, really bad weather (wind, heavy precipitation) would favor LA as their ground game is much stronger than the Pats and their D is much better at stopping the run than New England.

For the Pats to win, they need to turn this into a shootout and have Brady be perfect. They don’t have the D or consistent running attack to win a low scoring affair barring multiple Chargers mistakes (fumbles, dropped passes on 3rd down, missed FG etc)

When I was (im guessing)your age, I said the same thing to MY Father, who also stayed in and watched, and NOW, Im the guy watching on TV. have fun in the snow young man.

With the clothing advances of today for the cold, I can't see how anyone would possibly be cold at a game. Wear base layers, wear ski jackets (heck, you could buy a hi-tech thin jacket at Eddie Bauer for $60), wear thin ski pants, snow boots, wicking socks, a $15 pair of Kincko gloves, a good hat, etc. And if all that fails, bring some hand and foot warmers.

I was at the last Chargers playoff game at Foxboro and it was about 15-20 degrees and I felt toasty the whole game. I go December games in the Meadowlands, Gillette and Buffalo all the time. I never feel cold.

I may be a clothing pansy with all this gear, but it's the smart way to go.

I was passing out foot warmers to a guy from Ottawa a few weeks ago--he showed up with a thin jacket, jeans and sneakers, and was freezing. I was like, "What were you thinking?"

Unless it does snow for a fact, Philip Rivers is and will not be bothered by the cold wind. It was cold as hell in the last playoff meeting between both QBs and Rivers was still making plays happen even with a acl injury.

This time, he's healthy and has a healthier supporting cast. This game will not be a blowout.

My dad (70) is a tough-guy kinda dad but he's on blood thinners and gets cold much easier these days. I wonder if he might cancel going to the game with me.

My gal pal wouldn't mind if he does.

Rivers played valiantly that day when he was injured, but not well. He was 19/37 for 211 yards, no TDs , 2 INTs and a 46.1 QBR.
