Mcdaniels to Packers speculation and rumors

Apparently, the Browns haven’t even interviewed Mike McCarthy yet, at least from the article that I read, despite the headline claiming that they were pretty much done with their interviews. They reportedly haven’t asked permission to talk to McDaniels, either, so who knows what the hell they’re doing? Maybe they just have something against Irish guys?

Saw this on their front door.

You can argue McVay and shannahan are 2 of the best offensive minds in the game right now? Lafluer worked under both recently. Packers want to emulate those offenses and think his offense will look much better with Rodgers running the show than mariota.

And, according to many of the reports out there, Rodgers will be running the show and not the HC. Could work, but it seems highly dysfunctional.

Josh is definitely BB's heir apparent now I hope he has a say about who we Draft from now on Especially on the Offensive side. What if Josh see's a young QB he likes and think he could be groomed for life after Brady?? I'm all for it.

Cleveland hasn't named a coach today.

Like a Teebow type of guy?

He is probably the heir apparent. Sadly enough.

LeAaron Rodgers?

I wonder if McDaniels had a family related issue that caused him to back out of the Indy job. I hate speculating. I can't imagine it was as simple as him accepting the job, then having a change of heart.Unless Kraft stepped in and gave him a huge pay raise and/or the promise of being the next coach here.

I don't doubt McD is a great mind. But he's had Tom Brady at the helm for most of his coaching career. It's hard to judge how good he really is.

Very nice.

Peyton Hillis moved to Indy last year.

So the guy running the 7th worst offense in the NFL is the guy for the job? Or did they just want to find a yes man for Rodgers?
It’s a certainly a step in that right direction. When they hired McCarthy, he was running the worst offense in the NFL in SF. Lol.

His claim to fame was having a few good games with Aaron Brooks and leading a Saints offense that beat the injured 2000 Rams at home in the playoffs.

JM needs to fish or cut bait, he pulled out of the indy job last year, signed a lucative contract to stay in NE as one of the highest if not the highest Coordinators in foot ball. Is he going to put the FO or the NEP through this every year? That would be straight up BS to do so.

I hope the McDaniels job hunting is over. I thought that last season and here we go again. Now he is staying again.

What leverage is he hoping for with BB or Kraft?

He has a family that loves living in New England, and he loves being a coach here. I can very much believe he's being very particular about which job to accept, no reason to uproot his family if he's going to get canned in 2 years.

According to MKC, the Cleveland job, the only other job worth McDaniels efforts, looks likely to go to an in-house candidate, not named Williams.

Freddie Kitchens has a good chance of being named the Browns head coach, sources tell clevelanddotcom, and many signs are pointing that way

Do you suppose they all meet down on Route 1 and commiserate on these jobs? Imagine if you will:

BB: That Green Bay job is like the promise land, except for that prima dona Rodgers.
RKK: Josh, why don't you accept the interview request and go see what you can learn about thier long term plans.
JMcD: Ok boss.

I wouldn't put it past these guys to do that. They turn over every stone an an effort to get an edge.
