Anyone going to the game on Sunday?

Not since it arrived late to the game twice the times I used it. I wouldn't recommend the game-day train to anyone, it's far from reliable.

Showed up way later than scheduled to 2014 divisional for me. No thanks

I just found out I am able to attend this Sunday's game in my fiance's company's corporate suite. Anyone have any suggestions on where to park that would be easiest to get in and out of there? I have not been to a game in about 2-3 years and have no idea what would be the best option.

Are you getting a parking pass? If offered one, take it! You can get into and out of the stadium (and park right next to it) through the back gate on dedicated roads, which allows you to avoid all the traffic. You want Lot 5 if you have a parking pass. If you do not have a parking pass, if coming from the north (down Rte. 1 south) try Lot 33 which is a dirt lot pretty close to Gillette Stadium, but on the opposite side of Rte. 1. You can make a left turn out of the Lot at the end of the game onto Rte. 1 north. When leaving, stay in the left-most lane (which is actually a lane on the south side of Rte. 1 that they have go in the opposite direction at the end of the game) for the fastest "out". You're getting close on Rte. 1 south when you go through the last light before Gillette at North Street, where there is a McDonalds on the corner. Then it goes Liquor Store lot (also popular), dirt lot, little bridge (black rails) then the entrance to Lot 33 right after the little bridge. It's close to Lot 54 on the parking maps of Gillette stadium, but they don't show it on the official map. $60 to park last time I was there (outrageous I know). This lot has historically been an "easy out" after the game, but lately it hasn't been as good as in years past. It's pretty close to the stadium though and takes you right by the Pro Shop and Patriots Place when you go into the stadium.

If you are coming from the south, try the Pinebrook Office Park lot right after Rte. 140 joins Rte. 1 north. You are getting close when you see the state police barracks, then the entrance to Rte. 140, a Dunkin Donuts then some orange cones, which allow the folks getting on at Rte. 140 a dedicated lane for about 100 feet. The entrance to the Pinebrook Office Park lot is RIGHT AFTER the cones, so you have to get over quick (and perhaps suffer some honks). It's usually $40 to park, but I think they up it to $50 for the playoffs (also outrageous). Easy left turn out onto Rte. 1 south, and then onto Rt. 495 after the game. The only drawback is the distance from the stadium - about 1.3 miles. I will probably be here on game day.

If you live near Boston, don't drive - just take the Patriot Train out of Back Bay Station. If that's sold out, take the commuter rail out to Mansfield. There are a ton of taxis/ubers waiting from there to take you over to the stadium. Don't have to worry about parking/traffic and can get out relatively easy after the game. I've done this a handful of times (both PT and regular train to Mansfield) several times. Plus, you can get a head start on some road sodas on the train.

The train sometimes makes you late and is very crowded. Also, getting into Gillette this year has been a nightmare. I don't know why, but the Krafts can't get it right to have enough people for screening before the games. Huge backups at every gate. I come in from the south side of the stadium usually, and I don't think I have made the kickoff once this year. I came in where the train folks usually come in once this year, and I was even later. What makes it more maddening is at the back gate (I think it's called the Putnam Gate) there are usually closed metal detectors right in the middle of the scrum trying to get into the stadium. C'mon Krafts - you can do better.

Interesting. I took the PT once in 2016 and once last year with no issues but haven't taken it this year. I have used the regular commuter line to Mansfield and from there taken an uber (10 mins max) several times with zero problems. You're in control of your schedule more if you just take an earlier train to Mansfield. Given the PT struggles of some, i'd recommend the commuter line to Mansfield if parking is an issue.

I'm going, and get this: i have 2 single seats, same row/section, 5 seats apart. Planning to buy 5 beers and barter my way over to where my buddy is sitting.

Also - there is VIP parking, suites get 5 or 6 passes (for like 30 suite seats). It's not just a great spot, but its accessible by the resident/player lot road which goes out to 140 in Foxborough and not to route 1, so getting in and out is MUCH easier, virtually no traffic compared to the rest of the stadium.

I agree that the lines have been worse getting into the stadium this year. I think it's 2 things:
1 - they switched to metal detectors instead of patdowns - It's definitely slower. The patdowns were lazy at best, and they kept the line moving with very few "finds". The metal detectors force you to empty pockets, go off more and need more "space" between people etc. There are definitely fewer detectors than their were hourly employees patting people down, so cost is probably a factor. But it makes bringing in a few small plastic bottles much easier

2 - Mobile ticketing has definitely caused a lot of confusion. I've seen people holding up lines because their buddy has the tickets on his phone and they got separated in the security lines blah blah blah. It's definitely caused some delays.

I am not sure this is for a club seat lot, and that is the only parking pass worth purchasing. I don't think you can buy club seats on-line, so I would be surprised if you could buy a club seat parking pass.

Unfortunately not traveling back for this one. Too much happening here. My sister and nephew, who is a huge Pats fan are going. He is 9 years old and this will be his first playoff game so I am excited for him.

Weird, I generally spend $11 on some sweet 20oz microbrews 2-3 beers depending on whether I have to work. I never get cold because my gear is da bomb. I also love parking in the lot that WEEI broadcasts out of..it is across the street. We've had good luck getting out fairly quick.

The WEEI lot is the next one down Rte. 1 from Lot 33 that I described in this thread. Yeah, the stadium vets that I know, including myself, NEVER eat or drink at the stadium. We get lubed up before and after at a tailgate or nice restaurant at Patriots Place. I understand the allure of the big screen TV, especially for a cold or rainy night game, but I love being there in person. The hubby and I (although he "retired" from Pats games about 5 years ago) hit the 25 year mark for season tickets this year and I have no plans to let them go any time soon.
