Can Hoyer ball out if needed?

And if he did, it would barely seem like it counted anyways.

um.. why not?

Probably just a personal feeling, like it was a chance incident vs. the thing Brady and Belichick have been building in the 21st century. Sorta like how fans can write off anything negative that happened in 2008. (even though 2008 is also used as proof of BB's prowess).

Don't take too much from my original post. When Hoyer beats Brees in the Super Bowl I'll celebrate the TEAM win as much as any Pat's fan as the rest of the world contemplates the justice and meaning of an otherwise cruel universe.

A poor mans Foles.

It's a very odd question but yes, Hoyer has balled out his kids on numerous occasions. At home he reportedly is a strict disciplinarian.

Hoping they have Uncle Rico on speed dial. I’ll just leave it at that.

Would have to be a balance of running and short passes ...
His arm is to weak for anything further than short.
I think it's possible but I'd rather not sit through it.
And BB would have a second game plan in Canton

What’s the use of a backup QB if he’s not even able to hold the fort down for one game if needed?

I think his knowledge of the system made him one of the only reasonable choices once they decided to trade JG. The pickings were slim.

He may be able to lead the team to a couple of successful drives if they get creative and utilize a run-heavy attack. Add in a couple of FGs and my guess is that we’d be looking at around 20 points. He may be able to win a couple of games if he needed to start for a month or something. At least we could run more of the offense with him than anyone else not named Matt Cassel.

Question: Can Hoyer bail them out if necessary?
Answer: Unknowable, but not very likely. The real problem (one of several) is that we're not talking about carrying the team for two games against random teams in October but against Playoff teams in January and he's no Drew Bledsoe v. the Steelers in 01/02.

Good question. I'll admit that I don't have an answer.
