Can Wilfork catch a ball?

When Cortez reached the new world, he destroyed his ships......that way his men were well motivated

Now it all makes sense!!!

An aside, but relevant, never figured out why they pay 53 guys every week + the practice squad guys.. the game might be a tad different if they could dress 55 guys.. so many of these guys are developmental guys.. with that in mind maybe special teams could be special teams again.. a guy like Danny Etling could benefit in "garbage time", if there ever is a "garbage time" again.

Does not make sense to pay guys not to play..

Well, they pay guys to practice and be ready to play.

OL Toby Weathersby was signed to the PS yesterday, so that's a pretty good indication that Gordon's roster spot is being filled by a promotion from within.

I never really understood how Alan Branch just fell off the map. In 2016, he was the most consistent DL-man...in 2017 he all of sudden was inactive on game days. Now he is still a FA..... I just don't get how players just fall out of favor. Sure, he might have gotten lazy amd gained weight or something...but would that diminish his skill set that much?

After getting two rings he stopped caring and putting in the hustle. He had a deal with BB where he was allowed to skip OTAs to stay at home with his family and he came back completely out of shape into camp to the point where he could not pass the conditioning test.

As soon as you stop caring you have no place on the football field anymore. The margin between bad and good players is pretty small.

Braxton Miller is the former Texans WR currently on the Eagles’ practice squad. Not a great sign that they had no interest in promoting him to the active roster despite all of their injuries at WR.

Berrios is the one on IR.

When people want to look up draft busts they should really check out Braxton Miller. Too bad nobody could make him work. But if they can't find a way to use him in Philly then most probably there is not much left.

IDK. From what I read (from Reiss, IIRC), Branch had struggles with weight and conditioning maintenance from the moment he came into the league. Certain benchmarks were even written into the contract he signed with the Pats.

As much as I like to joke about how Branch slid into semi-retirement for the 2017 season, it was always a consideration for me that he had simply passed the age where he could still get his conditioning back to a sufficiently high level after a layoff, no matter how much he might have wanted to.

If Belichick calls me, I can come in there and give him 1 play at any position on the field

Then when I'm on IR rehabbing from a skeletal transplant, if they somehow go on to win the Super Bowl I'll have me a shiny new ring!

Are you trying to tell me that while we struggle in the trenches we have this over-sized dt just sitting there?

What's interesting is that - size-wise, if not talent-wise - the Pats now have the bodies to run a throwback, straight-up, 2-gapping, 3-4/Elephant scheme if they wanted to.

I hope they give Kamalu a chance to play a little. He might be better than Clayborn,Davis, Rivers, Simon and Wise.
