I think everyone will agree (especially mentally)....his best years are behind....he has nothing left to prove....time to retire while still healthy

Just finished watching the recorded game.

This run defense is vile. By far the worst I've ever seen from a football team. I feel sorry for anyone who had to watch the last 2 games on live TV. Sitting through those long, gruelling drives where the run defense is gashed for 8 yards a piece must be dreadful. I also feel sorry for the secondary. They're incrediby underrated and they're stuck with total bums up front.

The play calling on offense was piss poor once again. The offensive line, per usual, folds on crucial 3rd/4th down plays, as we saw on that Brady [attempt at a] throwaway. Trent Brown needs his fat ass benched. Get Waddle in there.

Also, Edelman is dropping way too many balls this year. Feels like it's only a matter of time before he muffs a punt with those hands. He and White dropped 2 on the 2nd drive of the game (I think it was) where they had momentum and could've gone on to score points.

As big a presence as he is, I’m leaning strongly against paying Trent brown big money. The man is a penalty machine. I still believe LT is Wynn’s future home. But I’m banking on him bouncing back from that injury.

If we do pay Brown it needs to be at cannons expense. That’s too much money to keep both.

I was high on Brown up until two weeks ago. He might be getting tired.

Steelers averaged 26.2 PPG prior to this game, so I don't think the D is where you look for scapegoats in this game. Offense first, refs second. Then the D.

And where would you rate the coaching staff?!

We had that guy!! Now because Brady stayed too long in a lot of ways....will set team back several years while they try to find the next great QB....like every other team...

That "guy" is an egg and has proven absolutely nothing, except that he can date pornstars with his large contract. The pats lost a tough game on the road and that Miami lost is costing them big time. However 11-5 and 2nd seed is still a possibility, Steelers play the Saints and Texans play the Eagles on the road. Nothing is settled yet.

I dont know but no one can say without lying that the defense has given them any reason to be confidence with any sort of chemistry and consistency since 2014.

2014 was the last time we had a defense I thought was on par with anyone else.

2015-10th
2016-1st
2017-5th
And this year we are currently 12th. Run defense started to fall off last season and this season it’s gotten even worse. This should be the #1 priority in the offseason no question about it. No qb in the draft is worth taking with our first pick.

You are right, I remember Nink’s greatest hits because he actually had them. I agree with you in general though that it is a win for this defense if they keep the opponent within 20 points. A Brady-led offense should be able to live with that.

My "weird expectations"....I am just trying to be objective and give my honest opinion.

I know everyone is upset about this loss including myself but let's not start getting personal with me. I try and treat everyone with respect here. We can have different opinions, but let's not start throwing around "weird" or any other similar remarks. Take that as a friendly warning.

How is saying your expectations are WEIRD getting personal ? The defense held the Steelers to about 10 points below their season average in a game in Pittsburgh. They got 2 INTs, multiple quick stops and allowed 3 points for the final 3 quarters. Saying they were bad is not objective at all.

I'm not one to blame refs, and I don't blame them for this loss, but that was some ********.

Coaches have a big responsibility in this loss. We don’t have the receivers to stretch the field this year so it leaves a safety to double Gronk. Last year Cooks took that safety with him down the field and opened things up underneath.

The O this year has worked best when we run the ball and set up play action. Sony Michel avg 4.5 yds but only had 13 carries. Burkhead avg 6 yds but only 4 carries. That’s on Bill and Josh. Should have been runs to bring the safeties up and then get more 1 on 1 coverage for Brady to take advantage of. Instead we went pass happy, let them bring their rush, and have Gronk and others face double coverage.

Why did they only throw to him once all game? Why is McDaniels so incompetent?

He always has been....Brady just always bailed him out....not this year and his incompetence is glaringly obvious.....if he doesn’t take a HC job (which is laughable) please fire him Krafty!
