The last three years has really affected most fans, we've been 10-6 11-5 before and I dont remember the board being a cluster****

Those fans are scared/nervous for this regime to finally be over.

Shelton, Clayborn and JMac all suck with extreme prejudice.

Shelton sucked, Clayborn overall disappointed but JMac had overall a good season. He has slowed down a bit the last two games but was good until after the Vikings game. Really not sure what you are looking at.

Is Gordon in some kind of dog house? I know he dropped ONE early, but where was he the rest of the game?

I'm checkin back of milk carton now, better ask J. Mac.

I never said its not do-able. Any team that reaches the playoffs can reach the SB. I said its not realistic. I give us a more than average shot to win the first game and then good luck because you're gonna need it.

we would probably be the favorite in a road playoff game against the Texans and would probably win it.

Because anyone with eyes can see the defense is terrible. Is it because of the trends in the league? Bill's drafting? Coordinators?

I dont know but no one can say without lying that the defense has given them any reason to be confidence with any sort of chemistry and consistency since 2014.

2014 was the last time we had a defense I thought was on par with anyone else.

This year just so happens to be the first time that our offense is failing to carry the load for a team that we already know defensively isn't going to win games for us. The offense goes though bad plays and drives way more than they have since the league has taken offensive flight.

Good thing the jets lost tho huh? Cause F the jets.

Seasons like this one are what should make people appreciate even more the level of consistency they have had for the last 15+ years.

Here's a simple way of understanding it: the Patriots have not started a game out of playoff contention since Brady became the starter. Even the two seasons they failed to make the playoffs, they were still in the hunt in Week 17. As a result (especially these last few years) has convinced many Patriots fans that being a Super Bowl favorite every year is a reasonable expectation.

A reminder, from BB (paraphrasing): "It's hard to win a Super Bowl, even when everything goes right."

Why target Gordon past the first down mark when you can draw up a designed 3rd and 6+ play where another player is expected to catch the ball around the line of scrimmage and make guys miss to get to the sticks?

Meh, I wouldn't say this team would "probably" win any road game this year but okay.

As far as scoring defense that’s as well as we could’ve hoped. But for game flow they were on the field a long time due to the inability to stop the run. Pitt ate up a lot of clock and this was with their 3rd 4th string backs.
Yes, but we knew that would happen. Given their limitations - the only NFL quality DT is Tre Flowers, they did better than I had expected.

Brady’s narcissism kept this team from moving forward after he retired (which honestly should have been after SB win over Atlanta....go out on top and let Pats move forward with new young QB)....instead he now is probably realizing that although physically he can get things done for most part....mentally he is struggling. Not picking up defenses like he used to.....locking on receivers instead of checking down, happy feet and seeing ghosts (see Edelman) and lacking that intensity, passion, and fire that he used to have. And....he realizes Gronk and Edelman are toast I’m sure....and that BB doesn’t have it anymore either.....Sad days ahead

They're just blowing steam. I learned to tune out all that kinda talk. Its like a toddler that needs a nap. Every fanbase has people like that. Just gotta ignore the noise.:p

… Ding, Ding. And we have a winner! ;)

What Happened to the offense today? Other than the busted play to Hogan they looked terrible against a crap defense. If you told me before the game the Steelers only score 17, I think everyone would be confident in a win.

Boy, talk about a murky future.

Brady will be 42 next year. We can only hope somehow he plays great for one more year. But even then there’s a lot of work to be done on this offense.

And the defense obviously needs work as well.

This window feels like it’s closing, and it sucks. But I guess it has to do so at some point.
Good points and yes ....time to go

I think last year's SB sabotage by BB zapped him. All that effort just to get porked by your coach in the biggest game.

I dont think brady sucks.

But this year is the worst year I can remember since 08 when he was afraid to hurt his knee again.

Now, if I have to reiterate again I will.

Brady has sucked compared to BRADY.

Hes still at least top 5 in the league. That doesnt mean he hasn't personally done things that have resulted in a loss.
I don't recall you saying Tom sucks compared to ghosts of Tom past and that's fine.

He's not playing at an MVP level no question.
