He is wrong on about 80% of the **** he posts.
He was not wrong about that. Do you seriously think the Pats were right to put Gronk in (who is obviously lacking some speed) instead of our most experienced defender who DOES have speed and is a good tackler.

Terrible decision and you lose any credibility for thinking otherwise.

You are the one who tries to somehow contort reality. The offense did not play good enough to score 37 points otherwise we would have won the game.

They had several shortfields thanks to 3 and outs by the defense and punt blocks by ST.

Very few teams are in position to score 37 without a short field or 2, doesn’t mean the offense failed. Allowing 34 points to the dolphins on no short fields is a failure

I would have kicked the FG, BUT it did cross my mind that maybe we should have gone for it on 4th down. It would have used 4 or 5 seconds, and they would have had to go 98 yards in one play, two max. There is almost no way they could get a play in FG range and still have a chance to set up the kick, unless they could get 50 yards down field and out of bounds. Whatever.

You make it a 5 point game instead of a 2 point game 100% of the time in this situation.

This team have completely lost the situational football smarts they had, its not something new, I have been noticing since last season, small mistakes here and there, today it cost us a game. That's on the coaching.

BB used to be a Master in situational football and today he went full Andy Reid.
This is the biggest difference from 3-4 years ago - we make so many more mental mistakes than before.

Been watching the Pats since 1967. Cannot recall a game where they blocked two kicks in ONE game. Also wonder how often a team has blocked 2 punts in one game and lost the game?

Pretty heart wrenching loss, made more so because this is what we have grown to expect the Pats to do to the OTHER team, and not have them done to us.

Anyways, it sucked, on to Pittsburg.

( last thought) might be the first time I have seen Belichick blow a game like that, unless someone else made the call, leaving Gronk in for a impossible Hail Mary play. Guess he is human also.

If you were able to read the English language you would have seen my posting on the first page of this thread saying it made no sense. But whatever keep just making up ****.

I am not acting like a spoiled baby. I am searching for reason in this circus.

The defense played as well in the second half as the offense did in the first half including both having major brainfarts that directly cost them points at the end of both halves. And, yet, some geniuses are blaming one unit but not the other despite a gulf in talent on both sides.
Everyone HAD fault in this game. That goes without saying.

I am saying we just witnessed a play allowed that has NEVER happened before in the NFL.

Giving your defense the ball back with that much time left in that situation should ALWAYS be enough. A gaffe this colossal throws everything else out the window. This is uncharted waters.

That is my entire point.

I have not defended the defense for the overall game one bit in this entire thread. In my first post I said they had an awful first half. My issue is just that people like to point their fingers at anything but the offense even when they **** the bed like they did at the end of the first half and for the rest of the second half because we can't say anything negative about the unit with Brady on it.

And Brady will hang a 70- burger on their pathetic D. So what?

Talk about delusional fans. At arrowhead the Pats have no chance. Brady is not the problem ,he never was. It's the deep hole this defense will bury him in, that he won't be able to climb out of..

I don't look at every single post in this thread. You were calling out Bedard for that take.

Not to mention the composition of the Dolphins in general. Their offense is trash and their defense is solid. Giving up 34 and the longest walkoff play in almost 50 years is bad enough anyway, but having it done at the hands of a bad offense with a gimpy QB makes it even worse
Tannehill was maybe 20% responsible for that play. That’s just all on the back end guys for not being able to catch up once the ball was caught.

Delusional? No one more delusional than you.

I see everyone is pointing blame again. But really they lost this game as a team. Kicker missed some kicks, Brady brain farted end of the half, and defenses gave up scores of big plays when that’s what they should have game planned against.

I hope this serves as a good learning experience. This loss will effect playoff seeding, but the main thing is it’s a playoff loss. I just want us to make the playoffs, because I think we have a team that go far. Most of our faults are fixable.

That is my entire point.
I am saying who is to blame for the collapse we just witnessed in specific. It doesn’t belong to the offense.

Brady, Gronk, Edelman, Gordon, White

6 points in a half.

But that is not a problem and at all partly at fault for losing the game by one point.

The offense scored 33 despite the kicker leaving 4 points on the field, and they never turned the ball over. If your defense can't turn that into a win then they suck.

None of the people disagreeing with you are ignoring the second half, they're just not ignoring the first half. There's a full body of work to look at and you're insisting on ignoring half of it.

This is going to hurt, for a long, long time... This kind of loss can be devastating on a long run, too. We played a sloppy game, again. That's something what was, probably, expected. All three phases had their shares of positive and negative plays. And everything would be ok, if they didn't surrendered that last play. That's just unexcusable, pathetic and unacceptable.

I get that this team is not really built to go all the way, and I don't expect a SB, but this was a gut-wrenching loss. It's almost 2h since the game ended, I still feel sick.

Why I love this team so much? I was on the brink of mental breakdown, after the last play.
