Dude.

It's a pathetic and sad on a multitude of levels
Agree.. but so extreme, the drama. I gotta laugh. I'm able to step back and observe from a different culture.. rather than get caught up in it.

Ok I get what you are saying.

Yeah...it's messed up.

You justified his actions("she slapped him"), Downplayed the events("he just pushed her a little) and then placed blame on the woman.

The reality of the situation is that they had an altercation BOTH of them acting out of line, and then they were separated. At that point he decided to run down a hallway and tackle her into a wall. Then as she sat dazed he kicked her legs out from under her.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THAT. the altercation had ended and then HE escalated it above and beyond.

end of discussion. nothing she said can justify a 220 lb nfl running back tackling a 100lb girl.
Don’t quote me as saying things I didn’t say. I didn’t justify his actions. You need to take your emotional blinders off, and I sure as hell didn’t place the blame on the woman. I placed blame on both of them, which is exactly what you did by saying “both of them acting out of line.”

I also didn’t downplay anything. I described what I saw, free of any emotional bias. Your description “he decided to run down a hallway and tackle her into a wall” along with “kicked her legs out from under her” is an over exaggeration of the events that took place. He didn’t tackle her. Never happened. I also didn’t see anyone hit the wall.

The only reason I decided to voice my opinion on this whole thing in the first place is because of others descriptions of the event that took place is incredibly over the top. You’re just adding to it.

Give it a few more days, and it will be a miracle that she is even still alive.

so...let's just forget the whole mess, eh?...curious, suppose it's a white football player hitting a young 19 year old african american girl...nothing to see here either?...yeah, most likely eh?...like when an 85% african american player base routinely mocks a white quarterback as a queer, an effeminate, a metrosexual,an elitist snob, a little b1tch,a cheater, a liar and so forth ad nauseum for DECADES, all the while extolling the righteous takes of a Rob Parker and Stephen A. Smith?

yeah..forget it all...nothing to it.

Normally I can pick up what you’re throwing down, but this time I’m lost. Sorry Joker.

Here is my take. The simplified version.

1. Both people are adults and both people had a chance to walk away. Neither did. They both kept trying to engage one another. The outcome is exactly what they both should’ve seen coming and both deserved for their actions.
2. People being upset isn’t what bothers me about this whole thing. What bothers me is the over exaggeration in the description of events that took place.

That’s it.

What's it like having evolved above the rest of us normies here in meatspace?

This thread has clearly derailed and I let it go one more day for the sake of letting people try and discuss it further. However, with the game set for tomorrow, I think it's best to go ahead and shut this down so we can focus on the task at hand.

We're on to the Vikings.

Oh good, I didn't think that other thread really covered all the bases before it was locked. We had barely even started talking about 9/11 for crying out loud!

Give it time for the Qultists to realize his first name is a mooselimb name.

Maybe I didn't/ don't see it.
A simple, civil pointing out of that would have been appreciated.

Some of you guys can really be ****s sometimes.

For crying out loud!!

I don't think that post was a personal attack, mang. I think it was more of a 'oh god here we go again'.

But given that the other thread was locked and this is new information I can't fault you for posting it.

See, that's not so hard.

And civil too. TY. ;)

Well, you posted extensively in that other thread (and I agreed with most of what you wrote), so you obviously saw it (you also said people need to stop getting offended so easily which is pretty ironic given this post).

But fnord was right, it definitely wasn't a personal attack. And what you posted is new information, so I agree it could be called 'thread-worthy'. But mostly my post was a prediction about what's likely to happen in this thread, which is that it's gonna get pretty ugly like that other one did. Just waiting for the 'concubine' post from that person who thinks Bill Cosby didn't do anything wrong...
