That is what practice is for and not gameday.

Really? Practice is identical to game action? Which NFL practice has Duke Dawson played in with 7o,000 people in the stands on the road against players with whom he's never been on the field?

The LOLfins are not legitimate contenders

Who cares ?

He is around the coaching staff almost 7 days a week and they will have a pretty good idea on what player he is. Nothing he shows in a game would be any surprise to anyone.

To use the words of Ernie and BB.. games are won in practice and not on game day. If Dawson is not ready yet based on what he has shown in practice then there is no reason to activate him.

Now if you had said YOU and THE FANS want to know what they have in Dawson it is a different story. But the coaching staff knows already.

The Pats won by two touchdowns on the road in a situation where they often struggle. They held the Jets to 13 points. They racked up 498 yards of total offense, rushing for 215. They did all that without the aid of any fluky plays.

That's as solid a win in the NFL as you can get. Add to that the fact that the Steelers lost and the Pats now are in the #2 position, and it's a good day.

It is worth mentioning that we narrowly beat the Jets in both matchups during the 2014 SB year. Jets went 4-12 that year.

And in 2016 they won 22-17 in NY against the Jets, when the Jets were a 5-11 team. Lots of close games on the road vs the Jets, even though the Pats usually pull them out. So today was very good.

The Pats are the only team in the NFL where if they don't win 34-14 then it's an "ugly win" and the next day is "Are the Patriots declining?"

Meanwhile Steelers can pull a win out of their ass and the next day is "Why is nobody talking about the Steelers?"

what a great day. Pats win and Steelers lose !! Couldn't have asked for a better outcome .

Although I don't feel like we played a great game, I do want to give a shout out to the Run game. That was an awesome job
Over 200 yards and 6 ypc...
Only time I found it happening before in BB-Brady era was once in 2012 versus Buf. Happened in 2008 twice w Cassel /
