HOF Selects 25 Semi Finalists:

Kinda surprised about Seymour, overall I thought he was just sub HOF material.

If Seymour makes it in then I've gotta think Wilfork has a great shot because I think Wilfork was the better player, relatively speaking.

Tom Flores finally made the cut to semifinalist. It is an absolute travesty that Tony Dungy is in the HoF but Don Coryell and Flores are not.

7x Pro Bowler. 3x First Team All Pro. And a listed starter on the 2000’s all decade team. Three Very strong arguments in his favor.

People overthink his career. This guy was an amazing player.

And to think I was screaming at my tv when we picked him over David Terrell. Whoops!

Quite the group. Unfortunately it looks like Law may have to wait another year or so.

Gonzalez, Bailey, Reed, Faneca, and Mawae alone look like pretty solid nods, probably a couple in the mix outside of them as well for a top 5. Voters also love Boselli, regardless of a shortened (though injury plagued) career. I think Law makes it in 2020.

Gonzalez, Reed, and Bailey, yes.

Faneca and Mawae have had to wait a bit. I’d say Law has as good of a shot as they do.

Faneca - 9x pro bowl, 6x 1st team all-pro, and 2x 2nd team all pro
Mawae - 8x pro bowl, 7x 1st team all-pro, and 1x 2nd team pro
Law - 5x pro bowl, 2x 1st team all-pro

I hope Law goes. Seems to come down to how much voters value his 3 rings and other superlatives.

Faneca and Mawae play Guard and Center, respectively.

A lot tougher for them to get in than CB’s.

The voters, those who supposedly know the game, will have a hard time passing over Seymour and Law..

Just sub HOFers make up a lot of the semi finalists

Coryell does not belong in the HOF. He never won anything.
Not that your dungy point is a bad one.

There are plenty of guys in the HOF that never won anything. Coryell was an innovator and, for better or worse, is one of the direct reasons why the game is where it is today.

I must have had this debate/discussion for both sides about 10 times. I go back and forth.

Both were great, great players.

Edgerrin James is one I consider as this. His most iconic moment is getting stuffed at the goal line.

Also, why does Corey Dillon never get considered, but Edgerrin always does? He was just as good throughout his career.

The annual snub of Rodney Harrison continues.....

Complete BS.
Rodney’s whole career was about getting snubbed.

Man somehow only made two Pro Bowls over his career due to a bias against his style of play. Sadly it will probably lead to him never getting in.

By that argument Dan Marino, Warren Moon, Jim Kelly, Bruce Smith, Fran Tarkenton, Earl Campbell, Barry Sanders, Barry Sanders, Anthony Munoz, Andre Tippet and John Hannah (that list is just off the top of my head, apologies to the dozens I omitted) don't belong in the HoF??? None of them ever 'won anything' either.

Your point, as usual, is a terrible one. Feel free to argue it over with the man in the mirror because no one else takes your arguments seriously.
