It's easy, and only takes a few moments. Is there any real doubt it wasn't?I wasn’t on this forum for the 2009 season but was it filled with threads like these mocking the media for discussing the teams struggles and denying that the team had obvious flaws? Accusing all the reports of dissension in the locker room as the Mediots making up drama?

I was on the forum in 2009, and yes, it was indeed full of hatred for anybody and anything that foretold the demise of the Pats - and on the flip side of that, there were quite a few such opinions to be found among the esteemed fourth estate.
Since 2001, the only time I remember a full season without a "The Patriots are Done" story was 2007. By the end of that year, they were asking wheedling questions like "Did the Ravens find 'the blueprint' to eventually beat the Patriots?" As if it might happen four years down the line or something
Might have been better for the team, and for all of us, if the media was reporting that we were DONE... but kind of a hard call to make when you're 18-0 going into the game.
(Okay, come to think of it, there were a few voices saying "this is what the giants have to do to win this game.")
Feh. One day, it has to be over. These guys think it's today. I disagree, with no greater or lesser claim to clairvoyance than they can make.
@SammyBlueCat . Normally you have some funny and insightful posts, but I am not opening that link. Experts can kiss my hiney !!! I can only imagine how most must be clapping gleefully at the Pats demise !
Brady will respond. He's pretty much the most competitive guy in the game.THANK you, NFL.com!
