I consulted with my Football Expert pet chicken and he pecked out " P-a-t-r-i-o-t-s g-e-t t-o S-u-p-e-r B-o-w-l y-e-t a-g-a-i-n .

I wasn’t on this forum for the 2009 season but was it filled with threads like these mocking the media for discussing the teams struggles and denying that the team had obvious flaws? Accusing all the reports of dissension in the locker room as the Mediots making up drama?

Is there any real doubt it wasn't?

I was on the forum in 2009, and yes, it was indeed full of hatred for anybody and anything that foretold the demise of the Pats - and on the flip side of that, there were quite a few such opinions to be found among the esteemed fourth estate.

Since 2001, the only time I remember a full season without a "The Patriots are Done" story was 2007. By the end of that year, they were asking wheedling questions like "Did the Ravens find 'the blueprint' to eventually beat the Patriots?" As if it might happen four years down the line or something :D

Might have been better for the team, and for all of us, if the media was reporting that we were DONE... but kind of a hard call to make when you're 18-0 going into the game.

(Okay, come to think of it, there were a few voices saying "this is what the giants have to do to win this game.")

Feh. One day, it has to be over. These guys think it's today. I disagree, with no greater or lesser claim to clairvoyance than they can make.

The problem with the media is they have a hard time with facts. They like narrative warped lies.

Example: they say we’re done, we win it all. They say, we’ll next year they are done etc

@SammyBlueCat . Normally you have some funny and insightful posts, but I am not opening that link. Experts can kiss my hiney !!! I can only imagine how most must be clapping gleefully at the Pats demise !

Somebody do the work to show Pats thru TG vs. Pats after TG record. Something tells me there will appear to be less to worry about.

Thank you for the compliment.

This thread is not supposed to be funny or insightful. Instead it is a battle cry for the troops.

We have six games left in the season and we’ll all watch Brady very closely during this stretch.

If he’s declining, Patriots fans won’t go into denial and try to blame other things. If we see him declining, we’ll be honest and say “he’s finally at the end and we’re so grateful we got to watch the greatest ever for the past 2 decades”

It’s really that simple and it’s ok people

Some guy named Mike Tainer from Bleacher Report said Brady's arm is "overcooked fettucine." Another example of an envious hack "sportswriter" projecting his inadequacies on Tom Brady. The only limp noodle that guy has ever seen is between his legs and on his mother's Thanksgiving dinner table.

Expert (ek-spurt)
a person who has special skill or knowledge in some particular field; specialist; authority: a language expert.

Because so many links lead me to ******** I don't want to read or sources I don't want to recognize, I don't click on most of them.

That's the price we have to pay for the proliferation of fake news that seems to be snowballing in the media these days. It seems like they're fighting over a smaller and smaller market and doubling down on their nonsense until there's nothing left.
