Sony Michel Injury (update: Expected to Play Week 10 vs Titans)

Agreed. I think, however, we might be able to get by with White and Barner for the next few games if we can sign someone decent to back them up. Barner hasn't looked 1/2 bad in relief of Michel and yesterday when we needed him (which admittedly, wasn't much). The question is, who is available?
I actually thought Barner did look pretty bad.
I would assume we promote the guy from the ps farrow who used to play for the chargers.

Who says we won’t be able to run the ball vs Buffalo, GB and Tennesee without Michel?
We have no one capable.
I mean you can pretend that we can just plug in a guy off the street and everything will be wonderful but that’s not reasonable.
Essentially we will have the worst starting RB in the NFL and you feel we won’t miss a beat.
Good for you.
These are the kind of injury driven losses that ruin a season, see 2015.

I hope they take another look at darkwa. looks like injuries are the main concern there but if he gets hurt just sign one of the other weirdos

Depends on the severity of the MCL injury. If its a Grade 3 (full tear) at a minimum is hes gone pretty much the regular season.

I don’t understand what Curran is saying.
He says AT LEAST MCL then if it’s MCL
OR LESS....
Did he mean at MOST MCL?

If you watch the replay closely you'll notice his foot was not planted in the turf when he rolled. It's a good sign because usually the foot has to be down for there to be enough force to rupture a ligament.

Read like this "I expect it to rain tomorrow, anything less would be a relief"...

That’s not the same thing.
Expect and at least have very different meanings.

Barner just looked like a second James White out there (as a rusher, not in any other way). Not what we need right now.

My feeling about the running game in today’s nfl is that yes with a QB like Brady you can get by without much of a ruining game a lot of the time, but it’s an offensive rhythm thing. The games we lose we are just out of sync. We don’t make 1st downs in 1st or second and get stalled because of a 3rd down mishap.
When we can run like Michel has, he is getting 10+ runs, we can run for 8 on 2nd and 10 and we can keep drives alive.
When you are playing teams you are better than, and you have 1 seed aspirations you can’t get into one of those kind of games where the offense is out of rhythm because they have to convert a ton of 3rd downs.

Yes it can be done, but having to do it is a good recipe for an upset.

Albert Morris would be better behind the Pats OL than the putrid SF OL.

Agree. He wasn't clear at all.

I took it as at a minimum, its an MCL injury but could be more.

Yeah but that's from Curran's dad? What about his cousin? Have we heard form him yet?

That’s who I’m waiting to here from.

Would people trade James White and a #2 for Le'Veon Bell?

No, he wants a big pay day, which pats can't afford. Maybe McCoy if he can be had cheaply.

If not, White is a good receiving back, might as well go for a cheap between the tackles RB if Michel is out for extended amount of time.
