It was dumb to allow those stupid group celebrations in the first place. I understood the individual ones, but changing it to allow groups and the ability to use the ball as a prop were bad moves. It’s made it silly at times.

With all of the bad press on the anthem last year, the league offices took their "look at this shiny object over here" shot and reinstitute the superfluous celebrations.

Typical corporate response - avoid the issue and band aid with something completely unrelated.

It looked to me like Hogan was well-covered, but the DB came off him to help cover Gordon as Brady launched the pass Gordon's way.

Have to wait for All-22, but I think he was wide open early, but wasn't part of the progression until the play "broke down" out of what was initially called.

I get that Belichick is going to be more conservative in his decision to throw the flag, but I think that there have been multiple instances in just about every season lately where they’ve been behind, either lagging in the moment or even forgoing the challenge, altogether.

Again, it just seems to be a bit ironic because Pink Stripes is supposed to be all over this stuff, and yet not only do we not seem to have an improvement over other teams, but it almost seems to be a weakness at times. I think there have been many conversations over the years about this very subject. I guess you have to take the conservative nature into account.

IDK about this one in particular. Maybe they saw it as an "iffy" challenge and thought they had better odds of punching it in if they didn't allow the Colts D to get a breather from the review delay.

Here is the best we have so far on this without A22:

So you don't enjoy silly things like Chung's karate kick? I personally enjoy the OchoCinco and TOs of the world. I enjoy taunting(LT is probably still crying about us doing the Merriman sack dance lol). What I don't like is celebrating when you are losing. Guys will get blown out and still celebrate a first down. That should be a flag. "Not looking at the scoreboard. 15 yard penalty."

this is textbook pass interference half way through the route...we have another uber moron in the league thanks to "Guns" the intergalactic buffoon

Agree. Chung's Crane Technique celebration was awesome.

"Excellent throws all night" WRONG!

1st down: Brady overthrows White racing down right sideline 2 steps ahead of defender.

2nd down: Brady throws pass over the middle but behind streaking Gordon. Incomplete.

3rd down: Brady throws screen pass at the feet of Gronk wide open in the flat to the right preventing Gronk from making any yardage after he had to bend over all the way to the ground to make a shoe string catch. Had the ball been thrown more accurately Gronk might have had a chance to catch it in stride and rumble for a first down. Pass was completed but defenders closed on Gronk before he could take more than 2 steps.

4th down: Punt.

You must be a real joy at parties. This is like complaining you don't like the color after someone gives you a Ferrari.

This offense is going to be special as long as Gordon stays active and gronk/Edelman/sony stay relatively healthy. Edelman looks great and michel could finally be that legit rb that will make defenses pay for not respecting the run. White is playing on a whole nother level and thats saying alot for him. Jmd called a great game and we should have rewarded him with 50+ if not for the 3 drops /deflections. The line was great protecting brady.

Gordon has already made a solid impact in both games in limited snaps- last week extended 3 drives on 2 3rd down catches and drawing a defensive hold on another. This week he caught the huge td at a critical time where we were losing control of the game. Plus the space he is creating for white and Edelman underneath, and he is blocking well. Even if he doesn’t produce anymore than that per game going forth hes a huge plus to us, but im sure he will do more. Just stay on the field.

Clayborn played good, saw quite a few pressures from him, was a huge factor in ending at least 3 of their drives. The rest of the pass rush unfortunately was mostly invisible. Id really like to see rivers to get out there and make an impact. Dmc and ht as others said are a bit worrisome but hopefully they’ll settle in and start looking more like last week. On the plus side the other mccourty appeared to have his 2nd straight solid game.

Punt coverage is not as good this year and thats kind of a concern. We used to take for granted never really worrying about the other team getting a short field aside from a turnover. The kick coverage must still be struggling as well as we are just going for touchbacks. Not worried about that part since ghost wont have a problem kicking it out the end zone each time, but that was a nice little luxury to have normally putting them back on or inside the 20 instead of 25.

All in all i got everything i wanted last night - a w and no major injuries. It looks like brown dodged a bullet which is great. Sloppy game but what can you expect on a Thursday, plus we just came off a pretty flawless outing vs miami and we have a long time to prepare for kc.

If his broadcasting is anything like his Tide Pods commercial...ummm...no thanks.

IRT the disagree from QM, don't get me wrong, I love Gronk, but just don't see him as either actor or broadcaster. Put him in Anthony Bourdain's old role - traveling the world, in both familiar party and 'fish out of water' culture situations and that would be ratings frickin' GOLD!

1st 3 weeks the secondary looked like a bunch of 1st graders chasing after a soccer ball. All clumped together.

Now you have Josh for 20 or so plays which should only increase
Now they have Jules
Still have Gronk
White draws underneath coverage
Sony is running well

Its not one player.

So much stress on a defense.

The only thing stopping this offense is health and drugs.

Yeah, he doesn't act, he reacts.
